Really good advice, and something i always practice when out on the rocks for any given time, especally as i am on my own.
If i am out for a few days camping and fishing on the rocks, i always plan each day before getting to the marks, i tell my girlfriend exactly where i will on each and make sure i never change the plan once i am fishing, so she knows exactly where i am at all times.
I also have two check in times, one in the morning and the other before sunset, even if i have find higher ground to get signal.

Great advice - I also take a battery charger (for phone) and if signal send a 'what 3 words' location to family.

I live in Portsmouth so it’s clean shingle for me, i have to travel miles to fish anything different, I do look on in amazement at some of the rock marks that get fished and the climbing etc.
