Wow, really the best guitar rendition of "Fascination Street", it sounds almost as the original, perfectly timed with the rest of the instrumentation, a big BRAVO!
It's based around C minor, there's a minor 9 in there, a minor 6 as well. It then moves up to a major third at the 10th and 11th fret on the E and B strings, followed by an adjacent 4th and 5th interval. In honesty I haven't played this song on guitar since I recorded this version. I tend to record a cover, do it as well as I can and then I leave it. I just picked a guitar up to work out a couple of the voicings, they are in the 8th fret position. I hope that's some help.
Thank you , I'm using a Fender USA Telecaster, Mid 2000's, Texas Special Pick Ups, Four Way Pick Up Selector Switch and some other custom add ons. Cheers 👍🎶✌️
amazing. sorry, 3 questions. you put the flanger into the delay or the delay into the flanger? the dd3 is a pink lable or a current one? and finally what kind of settings did u use on the dd3?
Thanks Man 👍 🎶🎸✌️ I put the Flanger into the Delay, the Delay was the last pedal in the chain before the Amp. The DD3 I used on this was a Japanese Blue label model, I used to own a Taiwanese Pink label from new in the 90's. I honestly couldn't give you the settings I used, I don't have them written down. I sat with the recording and just kept tweaking everything until I felt it was as close as I could get. Cheers 🎶👍✌️
@@pho_bos5419 I didn't use any Chorus or Reverb if memory serves correct. I used a Compressor, Overdrive, Graphic EQ, Flanger and Delay in that order. Cheers 🎸🎶👍✌️
Hello, Sorry for the late reply. I'm pretty sure I used either a Boss CS2 or CS3 Compressor, Boss Turbo Overdrive, Boss EQ BF2 Flanger and DD3 Delay. Cheers 👍✌️🎸
To be honest i couldn't tell you now, i did this quite a long time ago and i didn't make a note of the settings. What i did do was sit with the recording and experimented/tweaked the control's until i got as close as possible. That's what i do with any covers i attempt, its all experimentation through trial and error and using your own judgement. That's half the fun of it, it's an interesting process, Cheers 👍✌
@@belmontdrew1 It's a flanger on the clean guitar work parts and an overdrive on certain themes and various rhythm parts. But used seperately, I'm pretty sure they were not on at the same time. I switched between the two. Cheers 👍✌️
