the guy who gave you a beer and used to live in the burned down house might've had the last name suyker. my family owned the farm that was subdivided into that development, and the people that lived in the house that was burned down were good friends of ours. i even remember being in that house once or twice when we visited them while i was a kid. found your channel recently and have been enjoying the local history in your vids, thanks for posting them!

We had terrible rain storms this past July. Roads buckled, bridges out. Caused a landslide up by the tunnels. Looks like a bomb went off.
