Split Moong bean dal cooked in aromatic Indian spices, perfect with a bowl of hot steaming rice or any Indian flat bread. It is a perfect recipe to serve during your weekday lunch or dinner. And chilka moong dal is good for patients' health.
Chilke Wali Mung Dal goes well with steamed rice, any pulao or biryani and any Indian flat bread like roti, paratha, naan, puri etc.
If you are making chilka moong dal for the whole family you can also use tomato and onion for tadka. But I am making this dal for patients so I have not added more spices in this dal.

Equipments Used: Pressure Cooker, And Kadai (Wok).
    Ingredients:
Half katori chilka Moong Dal (split mung bean dal)
    Turmeric 1 tablespoon
Cumin seeds poder and coriander powder 1 tablespoon
    1pinch garm masala
    1 pinch hing
    2 Glass of water
1 Green chilli or red chili
    Salt according to taste
    Half tablespoon cumin seeds
    2 Tablespoon Ghee
Green Coriander (Dhania) Leaves for garnishing
How to make Chilke Wali Moong Dal for patients:
To begin making the Chilke Wali Mung Dal Curry recipe, wash and drain the split mung bean dhal. Place in a pressure cooker/pan, add about 1 1/2- 2 glass of water and add turmeric powder, hing, cumin seeds and dhaniya powder, salt and garm masala.
Close the pressure pan and cook on high. After one whistle, lower the heat and cook for about 10 minutes. You can cook the dhal in a saucepan with lots of water till soft and tender.
Let the pressure drop on its own. Open the pressure pan and mash the dal.
In a deep kadai or small pan, heat oil/ghee. Once the oil is hot, add cumin seeds an 1 pinch hing, sauté for a few seconds till brown. And put dal in tadka pan.
Garnish with coriander leaves and served with rice, chapati as u like.
