My late Father operated these in the Guided Weapons Regiment during his National Service in Britain circa 1957. As a small child, I thought he was a "spaceman" due to a picture of him and his crew mates in "spacesuits". The picture was of three men in silver suits, with silver helmets with an eye slit. It was, of course, the asbestos protective suit and hood, to guard against fire and the Nitric Acid fuel. He said that Corporal could deliver Conventional, Nuclear, Chemical and, worryingly, Biological payloads. Somewhere online, there's a Pathe Newsreel showing training in Scotland with one, and I'm certain my Father is among the ground crew. Thanks for sharing these great, forgotten gems!

This video presentation is destined to be a classic! As a model rocketeer (since 1969), I can identify the trials and tribulations illustrated here. Thanks for sharing!

Thank you. That's actually pretty funny and sarcastic. The last few minutes for example.

Thank goodness Scrum hadn't been invented at the time or they would still be scheduling their first 3-week test.

A lot of points made and some silly and some very real. John Hopkins Lab has been in the Missile business a long time.
WSMR and the desert ship! I worked on the Standard Missile and we'd do test fires and telemetry flights from the desert ship.

So the same type of style that SpaceX used in “How Not to Land an Orbital Rocket.” Was used very often historically!

Some scenes re-used in JPL's "The Sergeant Story".

The fellow with his rifle and "trophy" made me laugh out loud.

@Liberty Tree I still live in the El Paso area. PATRIOT loved to play out there. I have a Tee shirt that has a crossroad sign reading 50 miles to Ft Bliss, 50 miles to Las Cruesus. The caption is In the middle of nowhere.

Writting too small. Little interest in this episode.
