Development of Humira (adalimumab) - monoclonal antibody manufacturing with bioreactor technology

Adalimumab, sold under brand names including Humira, is a monoclonal antibody used to treat a range of autoimmune conditions. Phage display revolutionised antibody production and enabled the development of monoclonal antibodies used in medicine, including Humira. In this short video, I will discuss how the drug works and how the antibodies were discovered and produced.
