I adore this beautiful spread, Julie! It’s my favorite❤️ I truly enjoy hearing and watching your process. Watching you journal and stamp is so lovely and very educational. Fabulous vidoe!
I LOVE this, Julie! I have no idea how I missed this video a few months ago but so glad I found it! I'm in H&O for 2023 as my weekly planner but absolutely considering purchasing another one after this video for creative journaling. So so lovely, as usual!
I love these types of videos, I could binge watch these all the live long days hehe. I stopped scrapbooking because my brain is so unorganized (adhd is always in full affect 😂) that what I create needs to perfection and I have to stop myself from thinking like that. This video really shows how you have embraced the randomness and imperfections very well. I absolutely love it so please, do more like this ♥️
I journal this way as well - a creative journal that mixes ephemera and stickers and such - my stash - with words and lettering and not focusing on the specific day but the week itself and being free and less structured. I love that you put the H&O on discs. I’ve been looking at H&O for over a year and bit the bullet and ordered a 2023 last night. Excited 😊 I use a we r memory keepers power disc punch for when I sticker or washi over the holes and works so well!
I love this kind of video and now I am obsessing about what planner I should use for memory keeping. Since I’m in Canada, the H&O would be an obvious choice. But I’d be reluctant to take off the cover, so I am wondering if it would bulk up too much with photos added. Happy to see more of your great style!
I love seeing and hearing your thought process, it’s so helpful so thank you for filming this. I shredded and threw out my teenage journals and am ready to start journaling some newer, happier memories - funnily enough the day I threw them out was the day you shared this video!
I loved this video. I use a Happy Planner in a very similar fashion (minus the photos) & I also do Project Life. So, my main purpose for my Happy Planner journal is to help me remember what happened each week when I finally get around to putting my pocket pages together. I also document the good and the ugly in my journal. I hope you'll do more of these videos!!
Thank you, Kelly! The photos are a new twist for me, too, so we’ll see if they keep a regular appearance! ☺️ I’m trying to gear up to a project life album or TN setup, but meanwhile found a happy place here!
Thank you for sharing….I always like to see how everyone’s brain works differently and how they come up with a spread. I struggle with finding a jumping off point
Julie I loved this video (thanks for the multiple mentions). I love the way it looks and how you’ve incorporated stickers, stamps & other supplies. Thank you so much for talking your process through with us. I would love to see more if you are able to maybe share some parts whilst still retaining your freedom & privacy. Was a bit scary to watch you with the black ink. Very brave if you 😆
That's a good idea! I'm not sure I can totally recommend this sticker paper for longevity but you could also use this system to print onto 4x6 photo paper, so I'll add this idea to my list! :)
I would love to see more videos like this. I’ve been doing something similar in a traveler’s notebook so I really appreciate the inspiration. I need to try using stamps! Any recommendations for chalk inks or something like it that doesn’t bleed through thinner paper?
Yes, chalk inks are definitely safer when it comes to bleed through. I find them harder to work with because the ink can make stamping “slippery” to me… similar to that feeling I described of stamping on sticker paper. I think if you’re patient and get the hang of it, you’ll be fine but I learned with dye ink and just can’t make the switch! ☺️
I love this video, we all can take a plunge like this and create. It looks fabulous and I love the loose structure. Thanks for sharing this
Thank you so much! I’m glad you enjoyed the video. I’m really enjoying the process! ☺️
I am liking your new videos using the hemlock & grove! I have decided to do a creative journal too now! I hope you do videos this entire year of 2024.

Aww, thank you Cate! Isn’t the paper just dreamy?
Love the color 🥰
Thank you. Michelle!
Omg you're such a perfectionist
Yes and then no! 🤣

Yay. This is why I’m willing to share these crazy vids. On the little chance it speaks to someone else. 😘
This is great! Thanks for sharing! What are you using for your daily, it’s adorable!
Thank you, Sharon! I’m using the little Hobonichi techo A6!

Sounds perfect! Thanks for the tip on the punch!

Thank you so much and yes, the hemlock and oak is beautiful. It would probably hold up well if you didn’t add a ton of dimension. Stamping is flat! 🤍
Awesome video Julie! I love how you incorporate all the elements to make the journaling shine!😍
Thanks for watching, Karen! It’s quite a ride, my creative process, but a fun journey! 🤣

I hope your new journey into journaling is a positive one. ❤️

That can be tricky, but obviously I’d say just jump in and start somewhere! Anywhere! ☺️

Thank you, Tracey!! ❤️ I know, me + black ink is usually an accident waiting to happen, so I was pleasantly surprised!!
Hi! I have struggled working in a journal with the pages and I see you removed your pages where did you get your rings for your journal?
I purchased discs from Cloth and Paper, and I've also bought some from Poi and Hun. I use a levenger punch and the papers glide through really nicely!
This is beautiful! What size is the disc notebook?
thank you, Courtney! the hemlock and oak bound books are about 6.5”x9”. (roughly). i dismantled mine to create this disk version. ☺️
Did you take the Hemlock and Oak apart and put it on rings? That is absolutely genius!
I did! I shared a video of my process if you’re curious. I’m a discs girl through and through. ☺️
@@plan2create Can you send me a link to the video please? I LOVE this and it seems so much more manageable than what I am doing! Thank you!

@@plan2create thank you!
Can you do a video on how you create your photos?
That's a good idea! I'm not sure I can totally recommend this sticker paper for longevity but you could also use this system to print onto 4x6 photo paper, so I'll add this idea to my list! :)
I really love the idea of the Avery labels. What kind of printer do you use? I have a canon selphy and not sure if the labels would work.
