    I really like your videos. They are well done and informative. The one complaint I have is that the background music makes it hard to hear what you are saying.

    Another great video and details. I'm always watching these to educate myself. Are there any videos on the garden suite/ARUs for city of Cambridge?

    I enjoy your concise videos. Do you have any that show an attached two car garage conversion to a rental living unit?

      Thank you. I don't have any examples but that's a great option as well.

    Great video. Do you have any video explaining the cost of multi rental unit conversation? Isn't the financing option not feasible because of high interest rate ?

    4 units are exempt from Dev charges. But what if the building being built is 5units. Do 4 of the units get exempted? Or does Dev charges apply to all 5 at that point?

    • @suiteadditions

      I believe it's only up to 4 units in the main house and 5th unit is exempt only if it is a detached unit.

    Toronto is to expensive for first time buyers that’s the problem. I find ottawa, Windsor and Edmonton affordable. Which would you recommend ? And do they have this policies too?

    • @suiteadditions

      Windsor has great progressive policies and much cheaper housing

      @@suiteadditions thanks dude love your work my only issue is location. in regard to income to house prices toronto is WAY overvalued 23:1 while Windsor is 9:1 ! any video you made in dealing with banks that when you turn a house into a duplex you can use the added equity value for a downpayment on a second home?

      Ottawa has become far from affordable, when you consider the lower wages and proportionally lower high paying careers it can actually feel more expensive the many larger cities

    • @anignorantslut

      It’s too expensive due to shit like this being presented in this video lol

    • @thatswhatshesaidbro

      @@kyleclement2015 I mean Ottawa suburbs. An hour away has some great deals. In Toronto even two hours away the prices are similar than downtown!

    A great introu video! Unit means kichen+bath+parking etc. Original building will be smashed down and rebuilt? If you could take some examples, it would be better. thanks again!

      You can demo building or keep it. We generally like to keep existing building.

    I currently have a multiplex with 5 units. If i have all the space in the back, can i build the Garden suite / Laneway house as a 6th unit? Is this allowed? Or is there a cap on how many units you can have? I havent seen an answer anywhere to this yet..

    • @suiteadditions

      @luckylucciani8534 not under current bylaws but you can try pushing for a zoning amendment with the city.

    Until the LTB backlog catches up, getting into the landlord game is very high risk. Amateur landlords are bidding up housing prices with dollar signs in their eyes and pricing out first time primary residence owners. Stop hoarding shelter and the price wars go away.
