That Thundering Report is deafening.... That is a cool old piece. I could hear you the whole time. I think you've found or close to a good mic placement. Now You need some buc skin and a Bowie Knife to pair up with that. Get into that re-enacting thing..
Nice little pistol. I'm no expert, but you should probably put the hammer to half cock before you open the gun to avoid potential damage to the firing pin. And a quick search does not show a firing pin spring.
