Twin Turbo LS 1965 Stepside C10 Patina Truck - ChaChing Ep. 1

- This week we're taking a step back from the Tesla swapped C10 squarebody to show you guy's Salvage2Savage's flagship build, ChaChing. We take you on a spin in this 1965 bagged twin turbo stepside as we get it ready for the burnout competition at Holley's LS Fest in Bowling Green, Kentucky! This LS powered patina C10 was the very first S2S build and made waves, catching the cover of CK Truck's April issue. Laid out on Vossen wheels, this truck sits as mean as it rips! And with a full custom interior, stuffed with a custom shifter, Restomod air system, full custom bench seat, and Haltech digital display, it looks as good inside as it does on the outside! We have the boost toned down on our 63mm mirror image turbo system, but we're still making around 700 horsepower to the wheels. Even with all that power though, we still have trouble getting the 11.6" wide rear tires to do a standing burnout; which is why we're installing a line lock system before heading up north to LS Fest! This truck really turned heads in Kentucky sitting out front of the Holley Performance tent, and made a lot of noise smoking the tires and hitting that two step in the burnout competition. We had such a great time up in Kentucky meeting a bunch of you guys following our channel, but we had to bolt back down to South Florida to keep plugging away at the EV Tesla swap C10 squarebody to get the custom KW suspension set up for next week's episode!

LS Swapped, bagged, twin turbo'd 700+ HP, 56 year old pickup survives a burnout flogging and drives away. And the final statement was the "line-lock we installed worked flawlessly." Cracks me up! :-)

One thing I love about it its a long bed just shows you dont need a short bed to have a bad ass truck
The long bed is really what makes it stand out! Not many people are dropping long beds to the floor

Cha-Ching is a beast and I love the EV C-10. There's so much custom goodness in that build that it's really a C-10 candy shell painstakingly wrapped around a one-off frame. What a fantastic pair of builds!

all the people complaining about the ev-c10 have never actually ridden in a high power ev. they are FAST... fast fast.
the torque deliver is very different and instant. even compared to something like a diesel.
And sooner rather than latter that is what we are all going to be playing with.
with the motors you have, and a custom controller.. that c10 will be serious competition for even the fastest piston engine trucks.
The instant torque really snaps your neck back to your seat!
My Neighbors would love for me to own that truck. I would make sure they knew I was leaving everyday.
Scrape the bumper along the ground too as you leave the neighborhood to add a little spice to the exit lol

The EV C10 will stay EV just for the fact that the whole chassis is build around the Tesla motors. We do have other square bodies at the shop we're going to be building off of though!

corn fuel collects moisture so the stations have to have extra sealed tanks in the wet south. just what I have heard. up north they have e85 everywhere and blends.

Sorry that I missed you at LS Fest. I had my tickets and campground reservations. But something called a pinched nerve in my back kept me from attending. Surgery in 2 weeks and I hope to be good to go. Are you going to LS Fest West in LV next spring? I guess that's where I'll be going.

7:20 while this is one way of wiring it, hear me out....
wire it so that when the switch is on, the valve is closed and the REAR brake line is closed. meaning no fluid will go to the rear when activated...
then when you press the switch and turn on the line lock, you mash the brakes and start your burnout locking the front wheels but not the rear. then you can release the brake whenever with your foot and ease in to the burnout box or rollout to get out of the hot spot... instead of having to hit the switch.... also with an LS wire a relay to kill the brake signal to the ECU when engaged so the computer gives full power....
just sayin...
Waaaaaay more control when the rear brakes are locked out.

@@SalvagetoSavage I mean it works but this way is a smoother transition. your way is on or off and you cant modulate the brakes with the pedal.

You guys should be able to add a separate tune map to run pump gas on that so you don’t have to hunt for e85 all the time. Just retard the timing.
All e85 does it protect from knock from your timing being too high with the boost. But if you bring down the timing and lose some power for when you cruise you won’t have to worry about finding e85

What color is the white on the inside of Chaching? Is that just some sort of off white?
It's more towards an eggshell/off white. There's most likely multiple shades of white that got painted and sanded down, because we custom patina'd the whole thing!

Not too hard. Just some fabrication. You're just fitting up an inlet and outlet for your air management!

Can I have the 65 c10 hood since you are not using it?, mine is in bad shape and makes flopping noises when I drive on the highway.
Can’t do that my man, the hood needs to stay with the truck in case the new owner wants it

On ruining a truck.
I don’t care about the power plant in it much but how to ruin that type of pickup truck is to slam it down so low that you cannot use it as a truck anymore. If you have to cut into the bed to accommodate the drop you’ve gone too low.
An Elcomino style pickup truck slammed is a different thing they don’t look broken when you slam them but c10 and Ford F type trucks look sad that way. They simply need to look like they can still haul hay on a bumpy road.
Why have you blown 4 bags on the truck?
Just ripping the truck too hard with air in the bags! The ones we have on weren't necessarily made for the amount of horsepower we're putting down!
