Another exceptional reaction! You are always so respectful and gracious, and you take this stuff seriously. This kind of performance is difficult to do, of course. As with Bohemian, she had to distill a complex piece of music into a couple of minutes. And she did. She also had to do this in a way that not only tells the story, but also showcases her vocal gift. And she did. What an amazing experience we all had when she handed this gift to us. I hope that you saw that under her jacket she is wearing a shirt with an image of her face from her time on NGT at age 7. Compliments to her grandmother for this special touch. I look forward to seeing you many times in the future.

When Angelina refused to agree to sign a recording contract as a finalist, she was not allowed to win on AGT. I'm sure she accepted that, as signing was not her plan -- I can only imagine she wanted to maintain control over her music. As she should. So listen again to the words in this song. :-)
This performance is pure distilled perfection. One of those that gets me a runny nose. Big kudos to Sir Elton John and Bernie Taupin for creating this wonderful song, to Sara Bareilles for this arrangement and of course to the angel of music for channeling it to us in such a way. You got to give a big nod to one Sara Bareilles who wrote something like this but Angelina's version has her touch all through it. Though I love our hometown girl (Sara was born and raised in Humboldt County Northern California.) she has never made me cry when she sings. Angelina has yet to not make me cry. For me, this was Angelina's best performance. With little time to prepare she hit every note when she was supposed and had the craziest run of the competition and smashed it. Angelina is one of my three favorite singers. I am looking forward to watching her career grow.
Love Sara also, and though Angelina borrowed some ideas from Sara, this was largely original in timbre, tempo, decoration and that emphatic yet breathy emotional low register.

Here's one for you that I don't remember you having reacted to before. It's Angelina sitting on her chair or couch at home when she was I think 10 years old, and singing the absolutely amazing song for us on Valentine's Day, called, My Funny Valentine! There is another version of her doing it live for an audience, but I find the at-home version to be particularly beautiful and meaningful and she even gives us a heart symbol and smiles. I would love to watch your reaction to it!:-)
And she's still only 13 at this point. She's amazing. Many young singers think they need to belt out a song and end on a high note. Not Angelian. She takes her time and does it her way. Have you seen her at 8 singing What a difference a day makes, live? If not you should.

This was without question a beautiful performance from Angelina, as most all of hers are. Sara Bareillas most also be considered concerning this song, as I think Angelina's version was based on it. Sara's live from Atlanta version is spectacular - give it a react if you can.
