I was waiting for the title of London's Burning to pop up in the first clip as appliances got closer to the camera since its very reminiscent of the earlier series. Especially since it was a pump and a pump ladder.
Excellent light setup on that St. John's Ambo @ 07:28. First saw that particular system in the NEAS a couple of years ago, and it's a shame it hasn't been rolled out as standard across all trusts which use Sprinter 519s.
@@Turbomgzt agreed they are only first aid. Although they are legally allowed to use them only fully trained paramedics are allowed to use the blue lights and skip traffic lights. There must always be at least 1 fully qualified paramedic to take charge when St John's are at events.

Nice video - What I don’t get, is the total stupidity of the pedestrians who press the button on the crossings and or try to cross the road when they can see and hear the emergence vehicle approaching. The emergency vehicle drivers have enough to deal with trying to get through the traffic, they don’t need pedestrians all over the road as well. Pedestrians, when you hear the sirens, stand back and let them past.
back in 2015/16 our fire station & a few other's was invited to a tour of the factory that were making the mk3 for lfb & what we saw for the up coming new mk3 rescue's are more beauiful than the dpl's currently..the way i can briefly explain it is think of the current light bar on the mk2 which is a not great & lfb knew that but could not do much about it at the time they were manufactored,not only have they improved the light bar but..well you'll find out in 2021

Private ambulances, like the SJA one, do various roles such as event work and patient transport etc. However, in times of high demand ambulance trusts may call on private companies or charities to provide emergency ambulances in a frontline 999 capacity.

that light setup is the "signature mark" of German ambulance maufacturer WAS for its 500 series.
It is actually quite common on trucks in the U.K. you’ll find a lot of 65-68 plate trucks in SCAS have this set up

Down here in Cornwall, there's still a front line pump Mercedes that is an old R plate, that's 1997. Still used, still has its 2 tone horns as well.

It's deliberately wired that way so the officer don't have to take his or her hand off the steering wheel. Very clever idea tbh
