Remember Levi can't take the seringe. In only turn you into a dump titan. You have te be sure someone with a titan power is next to you, to eat him and steal his power. If you use it without this condition, it's like turning your friend into a monster you'll have to kill. That's why it's better to use it on someone who is about to die, and to keep alive Zeke, Reiner etc ... at least the best you can.
Because it will save a life. And titan's power don't obey to same rules. If you are strong as human, it doesn't mean you'll be strong as a titan. But it's more efficient with an odm gear because odm gear need big reflexs. To give a power to someone with that good reflex for hand to hand combat, it's a bad gamble no matter what. With something like a titan, it will just destroy their reflex. A titan is particular for everyone you know that ? If you turn someone that strong into a titan, it will just erase his skills because titan's power depends of willpower and because the titan is an outside body. Ackermanns are good at fighting thanks to their body. Without it, i mean with a titan, it will just erase their body from the equation. Using titan's power is like playing with another body than yours. Levi, Mikasa etc ... Without their body, they are nothing. Stop being an hardcore fan without use your cells. If you compare To use titan is like playing video games. And i doubt the greatest boxer are good at video games too.

Ackermanns are not good at fighting weakest but clever ennemies. Their reflex doesn't mean they know technics either. But since they use odm gear who benefit huge reflex, it suits better to them to stay human warriors using odm gear. It's where they are the stronger. In human battle, they'll beat normal soldiers, but not clever soldiers who are able to use technics that can be efficient against stronger opponent. We see that in the ova about Levi. Levi was beaten by Erwin and the second soldier said the strongest after Levi, Mick. They were better because they know technics to fight efficiently against him. After that, Levi practiced and obtained some experiences to be better in odm gear.

It's very hard to try and see things from Zeke's perspective. He takes a bit too much pleasure in exterminating the Scouts. Levi cutting him to pieces is one of the most satisfying moments in this season.
That special titan saving Zeke at the last moment, that's the real MVP of this episode.
You know Armin came up with a plan and you know it's bad the moment he says "I won't be able to see the sea" - you figured it out really quickly, proud of you!

Armin's plan, as much as it was heartbreaking to see it unfold, it was brilliant nonetheless. Eren pulled Bertholdt out so smoothly, completely blindsiding him.
Hange appearing at the right moment with that thunder spear really was the deciding factor in taking Reiner out without any losses even though for a moment there it looked like we lost Mikasa.

"Hero" is a brilliant title for this episode as it can refer to a few different people. Levi, Eren, Erwin and the sacrificed troops, Mikasa and her group, and of course Armin for making a brutal move and never giving up. The episode is kind of considered one of the best episodes just ever, not of Attack on Titan or anime, but just period.

Nah, I believe it refers to Armin solely. It’s connected to him saying “I’m not a hero”, but still holding on and not running away. I think this episode is about defining what “hero” means, i.e. hero doesn’t run away from a fight. This is for-shadowing to Eren’s story and him moving forward no matter what, which leads to the question: is Eren a hero? Like Armin?
