I live in Thailand, have a 15-year old son who fell in love with Muay Thai…. This video gives me tears in my eyes… By the way, I also fell in love with Muay Thai although it can be scary as a dad. But I can tell you one thing : these guys are athletes with major respect for eachother, one of the major things I love about Muay Thai…
I strongly disagree… I currently train jiu jitsu but wrestling is 100% more important. A wrestler who learns a bit of jiu jitsu is 100x more dangerous than a BJJ guy who learned a bit of wrestling. There’s no but scooting in wrestling. The wrestler determines where a fight goes. Have you ever trained BJJ before? The guys with wrestling backgrounds are absolutely incredible and learn very fast. BJJ is critical especially for submission defense, but in mma a lot of BJJ isn’t applicable. No but scooting, pulling guard, there’s no gi… a lot of jiu jitsu is with the gi. Wrestlers determine where the fight goes, and a good wrestling base deters striking. Many strikers aren’t able to get work done due to the threat of a takedown. You gonna let off a risky vicious combination off on khabib? Probably not or less often because he will level change. Muay Thai I will not debate… you can make a case for kickboxing but yeah. You def want head movement for mma but you can’t get everything all in one. So I would agree with Muay Thai being the best striking base.
@mr.joe rogan I don't have the money or connections but if you were to create a mu Tai league you have the money you have the connections it would be 10times a bigger sport an attraction. You are the man you are the guy that can do this start a fight league United KickBoxing Championship Leave out Dana and Joe let's do it ....I'm no body an will forever be broke but someone like you can do it an do it bigger then ufc
“Why can’t they make more money off it?” That’s the danger of American culture/propaganda. The guys brain is automatically asking why can’t they make more money on something.

so with that logic, christianity and islam are the best religions because they're "the most popular" lol... it's funny when soccer fans use that argument... guess what, it's popular because it doesn't require any money to play the sport@@YouknowwhereHughgo

@@YouknowwhereHughgo Comparing the 2 works when you use the exact same logic for your conclusion. What the 2 different things are is completely besides the point. The popularity of something does not equate it being the best. Racism was quite popular in the US early 1900's, this doesn't mean racism was the best. Yes it was a popular opinion to have but it was still bad. That said, saying football is the best sport is fine. but acting like its objective realism that football is the best sport rather than your own subjective opinion is kinda shitty. Football is still fun though i guess. Personally i prefer muay thai... cause i think its more interesting, as you think football is more interesting it appears?

Such a beautiful martial art. The most devastating by far, and aside from an MMA match, the most entertaining.
Best combo is Muay Thai and BJJ
