The fact that Christy liked this movie is a very good sign but the fact that the lead singer of the band Silversun Pickups liked this is a great sign that this movie is gonna be incredible. 🤟
Glad to hear you guys liked this! All the actors did their own singing live and played the instruments. Apparently they recorded it with period appropriate instruments and mics etc. Been seeing a lot of great reviews for Timothee and the rest of the cast. Ive loved all the song snippets and featurettes they'vw released so far for the music. So very excited to watch this in theaters and bring my love of music and movies together.
Timmy is an incredible actor. Dude can do it all! I have never been a huge Dylan fan but will definitely be checking this out. Also saw silversun pickups in NJ not long ago. One of my favorite bands and always amazing live!!!
I'm always very wary of rock biopics, particulalrly ones of my heroes, of which Dylan is one. So I wasn't really looking forward to this. But then I saw the newest trailer, and it not only seemed okay, but REALLY good!! I never expect that, but the trailer hooked me. I'm in!
It must be hard to be a major voice in film criticism seeing good movies before everyone else and casually hanging out with the lead singer of Silversun Pickups.
I’m not surprised Timothée was good, and I’m not surprised James Mangold made a good movie. I’m seeing a screening tomorrow night and this gives me confidence! I hope to hear you and Alonso discuss how this compares to the excellent I’m Not There movie.
"Of COURSE Timothee Chalamet is amazing!" I feel like this needs to be the headline of his resume. Because anything he does, he's just brilliant. I think he's going to win an Oscar finally with this one. (He should have won one for Call Me By Your Name). This kid is an estraordinary new actor, I'm not sure we've ever seen anyone quite like him. And then he's so sweet and squirrely in real life and seems to have no ego...pretty awesome.
Honestly, the cheek of the filmmakers! So they finished it, press screened it but no reviews!?!? Please tell me back when Hitch did that for Pscyho there was a duo to sneak one past him 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣☠️
So a good film about a singer who happens to be Dylan, or do i have to like Dylan and know his history? I felt the former watching this. Maybe that was the reference to Llewellyn Davis.
It's so awesome that you're both friends; I'd love to hang out with both of you in LA! 😆 I actually interviewed Brian once, and can confirm that he's truly the nicest.
I've been looking forward to this despite being someone who's always HAAAATED Bob Dylan. On paper, I appreciate his historic contributions to music in the 60s, but I cannot stand his voice. Nails on a chalkboard. I'm in my 50s, so this isn't a millennial or Gen Z issue. But all that said, I'm looking forward to this film. While he seems to do a killer Dylan, I actually think that Timothy Chevrolet would be even more perfect as Rumors-era Lindsay Buckingham. He looks almost exactly like him right out of the box.
@deadenddrive-in3166 lol. I can love or hate whatever music I want. My music taste is perfect because it matches the music I like 100%. You listen to and love whatever music you like because your music tastes are perfect...for you. No one has to 'work on themselves' because they don't like music other people like. That is hilarious. Be brave enough to like your own music! You should never feel like you have to line up with anyone else's taste in ANY art. I can hate Dylan's music and still acknowledge his contribution to the medium and respect that others inexplicably hear pleasant sounds when listening to his music, and at the end of the day be eagerly looking forward to a movie about this artist that features said nails on chalkboard.
@@VictorDiGiovanniNot much of a Dylan fan either, but you don’t have to be one to look forward to this movie. And I hear people talking about Bruce Springsteen the same way you feel about Dylan, but that doesn’t diminish my love for The Boss in any way. Besides, it would be a way boring world if everyone liked everything the two of us liked!
@@VictorDiGiovanni I'm a young Dylan fan but I can get ppl don't like his voice. It's an acquired taste. It even took myself a few months to get accustomed to his voice. But I'd like to emphasize there is nuance here. First is you should separate how he sings from his voice. Dylan's phrasing and pacing is absolutely top-notch. When you listen to his singing you can feel that he means what he sings, not just showing off technical skills. Second, his voice has changed a lot through decades. It was good before mid 70s, and after that, it just declined a lot. Ppl say it's alcohol and cigarrette and drugs, but I think it's the way he sang in early days that caused it. He sang with too much passion and intensity and took very little care of his voice. For my argument I'd like to recommend several songs that show his singing abilities. House of the Risin'Sun, Moonshiner, It's All Over Now, Baby Blue (Live at The Forum, Inglewood, CA - February 14, 1974 (Afternoon)), Brownsville Girl (more phrasing than voice).
Thanks for this, I'm sure the studio would be fine with it, I suspect the embargoes are about any potential negatives. I didn't like Walk the Line, but intrigued to see this, I love Dylan. I feel like Joan Baez looks wrong, but we will see.
You lost me with saying you 'love Inside Llewyn Davis' a movie I still cannot understand why ppl rave about it. It was just a middling, s/what interesting movie that did little for me in recreating the scene it was supposed to convey. It's in the lower 1/3 of the Coen movies for me, and I love their movies in general. It doesn't begin to match up with Blood Simple, Fargo, Big Lebowski, or Miller's Crossing. So I question your review for this movie.
You are in a tiny minority there. Nearly everyone loves that movie, critics and public alike. Maybe try harder to understand why, instead of dismissing everyone else as wrong.
The fact that Christy liked this movie is a very good sign but the fact that the lead singer of the band Silversun Pickups liked this is a great sign that this movie is gonna be incredible. 🤟
Brian has great taste!

CANNOT WAIT. Big fan of Chalamet, and hopefully he gets his flowers with this one.
I never doubted Timothée Chalamet could pull it off. Will go see it for sure!
I can never get over the fact that you’re friends with Brian Aubert. So awesome.
Wow! Sounds Timmée's gonna lead us to paradise again.
Wonka, Paul, and Bob: the trifecta from Timothee 👍
Elio, Elio, Elio --- the original trifecta from Timothee, forever.
Sounds like an Oscar performance🎉
Timmy is an incredible actor. Dude can do it all! I have never been a huge Dylan fan but will definitely be checking this out. Also saw silversun pickups in NJ not long ago. One of my favorite bands and always amazing live!!!
If he wins, Timothee Chalamet will be the youngest Best Actor winner😎
I believe this movie is going to turn on a whole new generation on to Bob Dylan. That's a great thing.
Our press screening is this Thursday and I'm REALLY excited.
Excellent! Ever since the trailers I was really hoping this was gonna be legit..

Thanks for posting
SILVERSUN PICKUPS
Can't wait. Thanks guys I thought I wasn't in to it for reasons mentioned.
I love Silversun Pickups! What a treat! Glad you two enjoyed the movie. I wasn’t planning to see it, but now I want to see it. ❤

I am so looking forward to seeing the film!
Hot Damn I can’t wait to see this film!!!! I love Bob Dylan and the footage I’ve seen looks pretty damn good🕺😎
Thank for your reaction!
Wow!!!
Silversun Pickups is a huge band!
Check out Panic Switch!
Going to a screening this week and now I know that if I liked Llewyn Davis, I’ll likely enjoy this one too.
Great video bro
Silversun Pickups!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤
Love silversun pickups!
They are great!
I will watch it when it comes on PPV.
Silversun Pickups❤
Can't remember the title? High praise indeed.
We were in a bit of a daze!
How are you two able to see this movie?
The release date is on Christmas Day nationwide.
We went to a press screening. They've been showing it for weeks in LA.
I wasn’t interested until I heard Bob had some involvement
Honestly, the cheek of the filmmakers!
So they finished it, press screened it but no reviews!?!?
Please tell me back when Hitch did that for Pscyho there was a duo to sneak one past him 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣☠️
This is pretty standard this time of year, actually, Early screenings during the holidays for press/guilds, but they encourage "social reactions."
A Complete unknown 📝 Movie BobDylan JamesMangold TimotheeChalamet
Casually making a video with the Silversun Pickups lead is wild
Ha, he’s helped out on quite a few videos here.
How was Monica Barbaro and their chemistry?
@@DDR131 I saw it and not only did she have great chemistry with Timothée but she also sounded identical to Joan Baez vocally.
Love Silversun Pickups!
They're awesome!
lol timothee said he watched the first 5 minutes of "Walk Hard" and turned it off in a panic
It’s hard not to think about it 😆

I’m sorry- THE Brian Aubert from Silversun Pickups??
The very same!
👍🏻
Was Norton also as good as Seeger?
He was! Full review coming soon.
👍
Don’t know your friends band but he made me go electric
They're great, check 'em out!

There is nothing cool about hating Bob Dylan. That is an immense disservice to yourself. And this is coming from a 34yo millennial. Work on yourself.

Dylan is a legend but maybe not the best singer, imagine if he had something like Marvin Gaye's voice 😯

So many music adjacent movies lately. A24 The End looks interesting.
OSCAR Bait?
please be good please be good please be good....play the video
So, should Timmy be making a space for his Oscar?
But do they cover why Bob Dylan sounds so much like Dewey Cox? lol.
this is the most cringe review ive heard before
