    40°C is definitely far too hot to be out driving off-road in a truck with no AC! Probably should have waited for the weekend after when it was only 20°C and we'd had a bit of rain to dampen down that dust. Good to see you getting out there and stuck into it, though.

    Always use a sling, never the actual winch rope around the object to be moved. Nice work though 👍

    Ignorance is not the answer. Perhaps consider not taking certain risks until you have learnt how your vehicle works, and get trained up in some simple skills in how to fix mechanical issues !!! Did you not realise it gets hot in Australia. Like sailors and boy scouts, be prepared. Have a large range of tools on hand to suit the vehicle, spare oil and coolant etc. Look at the weather report before you head out. A/C is a must, for all but the toughest. By completely relying on the experience and resources of others you can be a huge risk to others.
