Dear Doc, happy to see you. I am from Ethiopia, and I defended my PhD proposal on Oct 16th, 2023, and it was approved for the next step. Doing a PhD is very difficult especially when you are a wife, mom of 3, outside worker......like me. But because I love learning and discovering new things, I try to enjoy every challenge of the journey. Hopefully, I will not regret doing my PhD when I will finish in the future. Thank you for the content!
The doctorate is a huge sacrifice especially regarding to time. It takes so much time garnering a PhD, EdD, DBA etc. Overall it takes sacrifice. People tend to regret it because they lost a lot of that time that you cant get back
If you wanna di it, do it earlier. As you grow older you will have a lot more responsibilities and it will be difficult to sacrifice your time for other things like raising family.
Amina, thank you for this video, this video in a way has actually instilled and diffused some confusion I had. And I think I have found some answers. Thank you
I would like say to thank you I never knew how to paraphrase but you showed me so now I am doing cmi qualification level 3 stay bless and thank you ❤💋❤
You can consider writing, research (note that research has many angles) but if you don't like this much, then look inside to what u like most (keep the PhD aside in your tots) n after gaining this insight then the PhD will be used to achieve it

You will not regret it! But if you don't do it. You'll always ask yourself what if! So go for it!

Dr. Y., I thank You for putting things in better perspective for ME!
I prefer doing a PhD when there is a job that needs it for example to be a professor or lecturer
This video was an EXCELLENT!! So insightful!💖💯
I want to do a Phd later, when i'm 36/37 years. And yes, i will sacrifice my job hoping to grow and gain more later.
