That apology was very carefully crafted and it came out AFTER the uproar. She never mentioned his name, she never mentioned their connections and most importantly, she said she sympathizes with victims of these crimes but she didn’t say she sympathizes with the victims of HIS crimes. There is more to this and I don’t think it’s going away.
That so-called apology was undoubtedly written or at least approved by OSA (given her mother's position in CoS) the further rubber-stamped by the LP PR executives. I doubt band members had a lot of say in how it was worded . EA herself is an adult cadet org survivor who, while she retains her tacit approval of CoS and remains a in 'good standing' in the cult, is complicit to horrific crimes by her silence in relation to the atrocities suffered by the kids in the hotels and at the ranch. As a celeb she really has the power to push change, while honouring Chester's legacy. Also, as she is at much less risk of disconnection due to her celeb status, and as she is a lesbian celeb (not a gay male celeb) she isn't at risk on that count either. Thanks to Serge I found out that gay male celebs are quickly dispatched, while lesbian r/ships are seemingly OK if you are a CoS celebrity. This is bizarre stuff, even more so when so many CoS and Sea Org LGBGQ+ members have been subject to such cruelty & expulsion because of their sexual orientation. I believe Gail (Mum) is currently at Gold and is a speech writer for lil' Davey. If karma exists someone is going to get slapped hard very soon. RIP, Chester.

I'm sorry but... on one side saying mental health is important but then trying to "force" Emily to open up about her possible trauma with scienlogists is really contradicionary. She doesn't owe anyone anything and she should talk about it when she feels ready for it. I understand that ppl have questions but do you all really think the guys would take someone into their band that has any ill intentions or weird ideals. They should all be sensetive enough about mental health to understand her situation and that not everything needs to be said publicly.

@@jackharper_games9046 if everyone has that attitude, the cult will never lose its power, or its tax exemption. Silence is consent. I am close friends with a lot of second generation Scientologists who have TH-cam channels and have spoken out against the cult. There is strength in numbers.

First music video and first live performance and already people are either saying, they should have gotten the guy from Hybrid Theory, which is a Linkin Park tribute band, and the vocalist looks and sounds similar to Chester. There is no replacing Chester, and hiring that guy would have been a slap in the face to Chester and his memory, or they're giving her a hard time and picking through her life already. How about "Congrats Emily. Welcome to Linkin Park!" ???
As a person who loves The Mars Volta and respects a lot Cedric, I'm a bit flabergasted by his hatred. Leaving a part her statement about the Danny Mastersons thing, she's an openly gay person (in 2016 she was dating Kate Harrison), so you can imagine what's her opinion about Scientology (you know what happens to people who are openly gay inside the cult, isn't it?). She was born IN the cult, she didn't chose to be there. Please, before jumping in the hate train, googledebunk things a bit before. Hate speach and canceling things knowing one side of the story and taking it by face value is what we do this days and we should be ashamed of it.
