    Well done!! Revell Aqua is great to brush with and very scratch resistant. I also strongly recommend Hataka paints (blue line) to brushpaint. Glad to see someone who is still using the hairy stick.

    Great model, best I could ever do is paper modelling. I'm a very bad painter and could also probably mess something up while cutting the piece out from the frame in the plastic kits

    I’ve never brushed painted. Gonna try it. Do you think using Vallejo Model Air colors would be best to use ?

      Model Air series are airbrush optimized paints. It is possible to brush it, but you will need more coats. I am using Model Air 71.121 on my next project, and I had to apply 4 coats. I use a thinner as well, when painting large areas, to have better flow.

    love the build! you should do the tamiya f-14a 1/48 scale i think it would be a fun and pretty challenging

      Glad you like it! Yeah, it would be nice, I have a very long list of planes I want to build. Unfortunately don't have much free time lately.

    Ciao, il video è l'assemblaggio va bene, però, volevo solo chiederti, perché non hai fatto vedere l'assemblaggio della cabina di pilotaggio e quello dei carrelli d'atterraggio? Grazie

    This is very nicely painted! What really sucks with brush painting is the build up on the edges of masking tape, and also paint spilling under the tape... you get errors like that with an airbrush, but with brush paiting you can just expect it always. I really hate that. Also, how does your enamel wash and the thinner you use to clean up with, not eat through all those acrylic layers? I have resulted to exclusively using acrylic weathering and varnishes because of that. Anyway, just wanted to say, nice build and Merry Christmas.

      Thanks a lot! Yes, paint build-up and overflow happens often. It's part of the game when brush painting. I use acrylic varnish to seal the paint. Enamel wash/cleaning does not harm the paint if I don't rub the surface too harshly. I tried acrylic washes at the beginning, but it just wouldn't come off after a few minutes. Merry Christmas.

      @@brushpaintedmodels7086 Indeed, I use acrylic washes diluted with water and dishwashing soap and clean up with dry cloth within 30 mins, otherwise it is too dry and makes an overly dirty model. But I will also try using polishing compound on the painted surface, I never tried that before, I am hoping it will improve the finish. Thanks for the informative video again.m

    Is there a reason you are switching between "Tamiya" and "Mr Hobby" glue?

    • @brushpaintedmodels7086
      @brushpaintedmodels7086  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes. Tamiya is more thick, and dries faster. Mr Cement S is very thin, it flows nicely into the gaps. Dries a bit slower, but still fast of course.

      I think he should paint it the way he prefers! I find Hand brush more fun and comfortable but I use Airbrush for my more serious projects
