- Our wifi connection in the province is slow. We needed a solution so we decided to buy Starlink. In this video we unbox Starlink and put it to the test. How to set it up? Will it work? How fast is the connection? Find out in today's video!

Interesting to see getting tested out.
Something to think about. When me and my parents lived in the Philippines our tv antenna's foundation was steel frame and the foundation held by cement elevated to 15 feet high next to our house wall. Reason is because if we just stick the antenna on our roof with screws, nuts and bolts the hurricanes would just ripped them off along with the roof. So, you said you paid near $2000 for the Starlink antenna I would think you would rather keep it for a while and not get it destroyed by strong winds or hurricanes. Hoist the Starlink antenna with a steel frame and have it secured with cement near your house wall. Also, have the cement foundation reinforced with steel so it would not crack during heavy swaying. Another life lesson my family learned that sticking a steel frame in 100% cement the steel frame would come loose or it would cause cracking due to violent swaying during tropical storms or hurricanes. You could even improve your Grandmother's house wall in that project. Protect your expensive belongings.
Not sure where you heard me say $2000 lol. The starlink hardware cost 28000 pesos around 486 USD and 2700 pesos monthly bill for the internet service.
But you are certainly right, it's important to keep our expensive belongings protected. Some very good advice!
Great to see you got StarLink in order to get the best speeds you need it to be in a totally open area away from trees and any obstructions. If you put it on your roof it might be an issue with regards to the over hanging trees. Trees and WIFI dont mix. If you can place it further out into the field you will find you will get better speeds. Even though its not an ideal place. The best option ill be up high on a roof or platform with open skies abve no trees
Not sure if you watched the full video but we put the dish on the roof of my wife's grandmother house beside our house. It's higher up and not blocked by any trees. 😊
@@TinaAndDeanPhLife Ahh ok alas i did not watch that. I will watch now. DOH!!! My Bad lol
That is quite good
Whats the speedtest ping to the USA? and maybe Europe to?
Hey friend, thanks for sharing the video. I'm building a house over in iriga city and planning on buying starlink. how much did it cost you and monthly bill?
I did mention this in the video but it's currently 28000 Pesos for the hardware and 2700 Pesos for the monthly bill. I hope this helps!
you could buy repeaters and charge your neighbors 100 pesos for internet a month. that could help with paying the bills. and also help children with their homework because they can do research much faster.
That's an interesting idea. How much do repeaters cost?
@@TinaAndDeanPhLife Hi! I can help you with this set up.
hope you get ROI quickly!
So do we 😂
You can make it 300mbps if you put in bypass mode and use wifi 6 router. But you need lan cable adapter also from star link
Thanks for that information! Very helpful

@@kabiebebe2332 We are good thank you. Actually we have had some rain over the last couple of weeks which is a welcome relief for us and also the plants! 😂
it's need to register that to NTC👍
NTC registration not required for Starlink since it does not have a Sim card.
