That ending was honestly one of my favourite scenes in SMG4, Bob fully turning heel and putting Boopkins in his place. This arc more focused on drama rather than destruction is what makes it special.

Bob is an outcast. A member of a possibly immortal race, his very first appearance is as a pile of rags cast away into some dingy old sewer to rot. Who knows how long he was down there.
Over the years, he’s been a chronic heel. Always “the annoying one” before Boopkins came onto the scene and took that spot for a time. Constantly being ditched, tricked, and exploited by just about the entire cast, minus the sweethearts like Luigi and later Tari. If we assume he’s been living like this for easily a few hundred years, is it any wonder that he grew to be so cold and spiteful?
To add on to this, Boopkins was genuinely in the wrong here. His actions were insanely childish and naive at best, and near malicious at worst. Tanking an entire career is certainly no laughing matter, regardless of how that career started. No, it wasn’t right for Bob to do what he did, but overall it’s not like you could call him a huge criminal or anything. Just a bit of an ass. And like he said: in his experience, you’re either an ass or a doormat. And he’s sick of being the doormat.
Later, he will learn to cherish friends more than fame, love over wealth. But this quite literally takes a second career destroying event and a near death experience, brought on by the previous villain Waluigi. You know, the veritable god of rejection, only defeated by acceptance from his brother.
So to say his worldview was incredibly bleak for the longest time is an understatement. Can you really blame him for wanting to live a better life just for once? Everyone did. But it makes you wonder, especially since they heavily contributed themselves. How many times did they shun, dupe, and abandon Bob...? Turnabout’s fair play, after all.

I never liked bob, but i am most certain that Boopkins is in the wrong here
Dang. That ending and that speech were so amazing and nicely done! It was deep in a way that you would not expect in SMG4. You really feel for Bob and his view of the world in the ending because of how everyone has mistreated him (except for Boopkins, Tari, Shroomy and Luigi). The ending alone makes this episode one of my favorites! And it’s so satisfying to see that Bob nowadays has been accepted by the cast and how he has become a better person.
I must agree that both Bob and Boopkins are in the wrong but Bob is also right in a way. Boopkins ruined Bob's show, so he has every right to be mad at Boopkins. Boopkins wasn't right about anything but he opened up Bob's emotions on how he feels and how he fell down the well. Even the quote, "nice, you think this world is nice?" It's a very dark statement but we all know Bob is right. And even though Bob went a tad too far and even disses his friends later which leads to his downfall, it's also a good way of showing Bookpins that the world isn't always a cheery place, but we should learn to keep moving in life.

I don’t blame bob for thinking that way. He has been misjudged and rejected many times through 2016 and 2017. He was even rejected by Mario and smg4, even though bob literally did nothing to them. It would make sense for bob to see the world as a place where you’re either an asshole or a pushover (or a bob or a boopkins). Bob truly is one of the most tragic characters in smg4.

Wow Bob is an evil genius, ruthless, manipulative and cunning. In some ways he is much worse than Walluigi especially since it seems his only goal is fame for no reason more than being a narcissist.
I love it.
He is that rude because he knows the world is not nice and with rainbows. It's actually dark and cruel, Bob experienced it with bullying, fake friends, scam and lying. Bob had a horrible past and that's why he is so cruel.

I was actually starting to think Bob would murder or harm Boopkins, given the location and atmosphere, the information that was revealed, and the fact we see Bob clearly show off his emotions against someone (Especially, towards Boopkins who seemed to be the only person he "bonded with" in the eyes of the watcher) in that scene for what seems to be the first time, definitely puts a lot of tension or suspension for the viewers.

People would cheat, scam and even use anyone to gain fame and the goal they want.
For me, Bob sees the world and life for what it actually is, a cruel world where literally has no cared for you.

Remember, Bob lives for 500 years and it got me thinking Bob was like Boopkins, naive and childlike, when Bob started to reveal his true colors to Boopkins mentioned he would *“You’re either an asshole or a push over! A Bob or a Boopkins, I better be sure don’t want be a Boopkins.”* Does that sound suspicious to you? He sounded like he had experienced of being used, scammed, lied and had experienced having faked friendship from someone. He sounded like he used to be in Boopkin’s place, where he be used to be lied to and be used, and for the very long time he only experienced being rejected and scammed by everyone and rarely had any friends, and I believe that’s the reason why Bob is such an asshole, and even go as far to fake his friendship.

It really makes sense now. Bob's almost the same character as Waluigi. In the Mario Train Trip, Bob wanted a friend or be in a SMG4 video. Waluigi just wanted a brother who cares for him or be in Smash. Both character were rejected by the creators (Master Hand (Or maybe Sakurai) and SMG4). Both character got involve with Fishy Boopkins somehow (in Mario Tennis, Waluigi Time, Mario and The Well, and probably this video too because Boopkins somehow made them into an antagonist of both said arc. I know he just wanted to help, just look at Boopkins' dad. He looked so proud in the video). Both characters used their friends to reach their goal. When both characters got rejected, they became cruel, thought they don't need anyone, became more villainous, and later became the main antagonist on both arc.
If I have to choose between Waluigi and Bob before both arc even began, I would rather choose Waluigi. Yes, they did some regular villain stuff here and there. But I don't think Waluigi ever betrayed his brother. I don't know where to begin with Bob. Bob has used and betrayed Boopkins so many times now. Right now, I'm just wondering how Boopkins can still be so kind and friendly to him after so many betrayal (probably from animes).

Bob clearly has a very dark past. He hides a lot behind that cloak. This is an interesting beginning to an arc in SMG4 history! The things that Bob did were surprising and it makes sense why he did it. If you really think about all the videos in the channel, it shows how Bob is an outcast and left out all the time. Most of the characters have it all good while Bob never got anything. Bob never got it all good and characters, like Boopkins, were cared by others in the Well video. But it also goes to show how Bob really is Narcissistic and how he only cares about himself. He built his rap status by pretending to be the hero of the day and make everyone fell bad for him because he pushed Boopkins into the well to become the hero and making it look like his house burned down on purpose, in reality he planned it all along. It also explains why he was kind to Boopkins. Hopefully the Tari arc will be very suspenseful and creative like this one!
Precisely. He is just doing the things that people have been doing to him for years. When he started All he wanted was a friend and everyone rejected him. He then came back not caring about anybody, because that's how people treated him, i know he's a douchebag, but i feel like it's the other people's fault. They made him the Garo he is today.

Reasons for Bob to be the good guy:
He repeatedly told Boopkins NOT to go to the stage. He created his rap career just for it to be destroyed (even if he did cheat for it).
Boopkins to be the good guy: He was trying to be a genuinely good friend. He's just a kid who wanted to help, and he was betrayed. He probably feels crushed.
Overall, even though Bob had reason to be pissed, he's still the antagonist.

Oh my goodness. I was a smg4 fan back in 2012-2014 and i left until this year and i must say that I am impressed with the new directions the channel has taken with characters feeling like actual people more and more and the arcs that better develop character dynamics and make watching each episode feel worthwhile. I look forward to the future of this channel.
