He didnt use earthquake right on the TC because the monuments block god powers when youre playing as Isis for the Egyptians.
sadly he didnt space out his monuments more so his main base would be immune to earthquake compeltely. But the earthquake didnt do much at all
@@ZazeH i grouped my monuments up because i thought if i have them all wtihin range of eachother, when i go to empower, they will get the 100% gather bonus, however, i had no clue if that worked or not and i think its a ra only thing lol
@@KiluminatiOG Yeah, that's a Ra thing. With Isis, it just extends the range of the anti-god power field.
Spreading them would be a double edged sword too. Because if they are not in range of each other, then if the enemy takes one out, it will create a hole for the meteor to land. And if the one monument closest to the town center was the weakest one (which can often happen by that you build your first monument close), then it would be easiest to destroy it and land the meteor.
So I think grouping them makes sense. It's much harder to destroy all of them in the center of enemy base.

dont know if you noticed, but the comment above you stated that playing with isis, your monuments block go powers as a passive, thats why your earthquake didnt work.

I was really afraid of a new dissapointment with Retold, but the game is just amazing and better than expected, honestly.
22:25 Tetr couldn't do earthquake I believe closer to the TC because the god Kiluminati was playing has a benefit that god powers can't be used against her within the monument radius.
That is for all egyptians, it's not god-specific, but an egiptian mechanic, that the monuments grant an area protection against godpowers

Every hero in the game can now hit flying units. It's an intended balance change. Though it's indeed weird to see Polyphemus slam his mace into the ground and kill a phoenix.

Ceasefire is definitely working differently than it used to. Ceasefire in Classic and Extended Edition would Halt construction of Fortress-Type buildings and Towers, meaning that Red would Not have been able to construct that Migdol Stronghold
Now I think it slows down constructions, but still able to build.
I like the change, honestly.

I never played a PVP match of AOE2, not even against bots for like a year. Still watch every video of him.

As per google: a narrow strip of land with sea on either side, forming a link between two larger areas of land. Best example is Panama and the way it is between the Caribbean sea in the east and the Pacific ocean on the west while also connecting both North and South America.
EDIT; Source: I'm kind of a geography nerd when I was a kid, so I still remember a few stuff from all the "Geography for kids!" books that I read.

I agree, although when I see some streamers with the zoom so high I feel that they lose a lot of life, I would like the zoom to be more controlled, at least in the competitive game, a matter of taste I suppose.
Aom is much more fast paced than aoe4

Info: Kiluminati is a high-level player in AOM Voobly, he joined the championship (Voobly) tournament this year and in prior years.
I have watched a lot of AOM games over the years and this is one of my favorites, such a rollercoaster ride.
strange the isis player didn't spread out the monuments, kinda important when they give you god power immunity.

Zoom in the camera a little bit imo, this is so zoomed out, all the units are like same, like minion, so all the nature and new models are not recognizable / enjoyable... I mean make it cinematic bro pls. 🤓

As soon as I saw him going all those villagers on wood I knew centaurs were coming. It was a classic strategy on Voobly. People would raid with centaurs like crazy

It was surprising seeing the Isis player coming back, but if you pay attention, the Poseidon player had more than 50 idle villagers for most of the time his attack took place, on top of his archers targetting a building for more than 1 minute. 😅

From what I recall the egypt chariot archers were the best late game unit. At least ones that don't cost favor anyway, and in a direct match up would beat those anyway if micro was used. And having elephants is great too, a few elephants and a horde of chariot archers was perhaps the most reliable way to stop a titan without your own titan.

I love this game. There's a learning curve definetely, chimeras were amazing! But throwing cavalry into spearmen isnt the best choice.
It going to be awesome when we get 6th different cultures to play with. :D
I expect due to geographical positioning on the map that we will most likely see Aztecs second after the Chinese. I would love to see other areas get covered too, like Hinduism mythos, but they would need to be careful on how they add Hinduism because it still practiced today. But if they can do it while be respectful, 100% would be my first option for a new culture.

tbh the name change from hippikon to hippeus is also incorrect since hippeus is more a social class and more specific to athens, which wasn't really that important to the overall mythos or even the bronze age( iknow that the game is not representative of both as the greeks have a lot of alexandrian units for example) so i think it would be more accurate to name them as hippomachos, from the greek hippos- horse and machos ( makos) - warrior, so it would translate to mounted warrior.

You know what would be a great quality of life? They should make it where grouped units have a replenish button to queue up the appropriate units to replace lost units.

The comeback doesn't seem as insane once you realize that killuminati was spending 30000000000000 resources on camel caravans all game
poseidon was definitely trolling. Isis vs Poseidon, you can't use earthquake vs isis monuments. this is one match-up for greeks where heph is ALWAYS right play. Poseidon player needed to build AT LEAST 2 resource pleaty vaults and market place otherwise Isis just crushes you in end game. Isis is counter-pick to Poseidon because Poseidon wants to go earthquake and end games early. the way you win game as poseidon is build a titan vs Isis before Isis builds Titan against you, once you build titan, you go straight for the Market place.
@Drongo doesnt isis have an effect where your statues protect you from miracles? so maybe thats why the earthquake was used quite a bit away from them

Not sure if Theseus base damage is 7.2 or that's 7.2dps. but going to 8.2 from the relic would be almost 14% more damage. I could see that being useful for breakpoints maybe
it appears that mousing over Damage during the Beta produced a DPS Window taking into account their attack speed vs their damage
so a Scout with 1 Damage and 1.1 attack speed. had a DPS of 0.9
Not going to lie I love aoe4 but aom just has so much more action. Hopefully this game does as well as aoe4

Feel like flying units in AoM is way to slow. Would like them to increase the speed of a lot of flying units. Like the nidhog.. it is crawling through the air.

the Kopesh of horus is amazing or Heroes with a lots o dps or ! a lots of heroes with minor multipliers ...like egyptican priests ... Norse hersirs or of course not in game yet but still Atlantean hero armies ...the only civilisation it is not that usefull for is indeed the Greece .... PRETTY OBVIOUS aside of that egypt way of scouting obelisks ... plus 6 Los radius is insane on them, very egypt focused artefacts today

he will surely make them, mate, dont worry. AoM Retold Beta was really hyped this weekend, most streamers played it more than "their original" games. Even AoM streamers did this when AoE 4 was released.

Atlanteans were unselectable. You were able to get a sneak peak on their changes tho as they now generate favor by having Oracles
also you are not adding any background sound/ambiance, could be nice, some low volume, background sound, cinematic. Cuz' u talk too much, end i am sleeping after some point. xD
