- Do your eggs have a grade? Each USDA grade is a mark of the egg's quality. Grade AA eggs are the highest quality whereas Grade B are the lowest.
Egg graders determine quality based on the egg's: shell, white, yolk, and air cell. Here's how to tell a high quality egg from a low one.

I Germany grades are determined by how the chickens are kept. 3 is caged (now banned), 2 is in a stable, 1 is free roam and zero is organic.
haiggoh nice, in bosnia its just the size that matters haha
Wait, caged-chicken farms are illegal?
I Believe In the Third Bosanski?
haiggoh are chickens not organic I don’t understand
That's because Germany isn't a business (Aka its better)
Why isn't it just A B C?
Lemon Bleach
Would you eat a grade C egg if it existed? It sounds very low quality to me so I think they decided to make B the lowest grade you can give to an egg.
Thugger Kray yeah if it's safe to eat I would
Thugger Kray grade C eggs are used for commercial use/premaid things
Lemon Bleach
I would eat a Grade C egg as well as long as it was safe.
But people aren't logical...
It's like seeing something marketed as Grade C meat, most consumers would probably think it wasn't safe to eat.
I don't even care - I produce my own eggs :)
Last time I was this early tech insider still made videos about tech.
Your Friend I know I was just trying to see how many likes I got.
You did pretty good on the likes. Third to first comment for me.
Will Hudson 8kb
wtf blood spots.
Slippy ikr
I've seen them many times. And i ate those eggs... I feel myself so filthy now.
Slippy chicken came from an egg so...
Slippy i've never seen anything like that here in EU
Eggs are just chicken periods man
In my country, the eggs are graded based on the size.
Grade D eggs are the smallest and grade A eggs are the largest.
Now my parents are expecting me to get aa in all my subjects. Thanks a lot tech insider
Why am I watching a video about egg quality I should be doing schoolwork
"the white"
*TRIGGERED*
Bax365 liberals want that term to be changed .
We can’t call it egg whites anymore because it’s offensive to darker toned folks
Andres Rodriguez Wait, are you serious?
For metric people:
1/8 inch ≈ 3mm
3/16 inch ≈ 5mm
You're welcome! :D
Thank you
We in Germany don't wash our eggs before they come into the store, that way they keep their natural protective layer around them and don't need to be cooled.
good visual explanation.
Marketers can use the grade shield to increase their prices even though the product may not have a grade? How the heck? What the heck? Then how do I know the product they're selling is actually AA grade?
Wow Tech insider, *EGG TASTIC* video
Can I have my like now?
I'm sorry but you need to step up your pun game.
Jedh Mairielle huuh I need more eggs
Your a fan for tech insider so you must think this video is Fan-tastic
You should have said eggcellent video
Wait.. How do you know the white is thick white? They must crack the egg first? Then how do egg sellers sell eggs?
Nice video. Would be good to see how big they differ in terms of nutrients as well
Slight difference. Because an egg has a fixed composition in order to provide nutrition for a growing chick, the are more or less same.
The only impact on nutrition a farm can have on a chicken egg, is in terms of carotenoid, lutein, and fat composition; this is done by modifying the diet to include brightly-pigmented foods or feeds rich in oils/fats. In overall nutrient profile, they are very, very similar (e.g., protein and vitamin contents are exact).
its so sad how those chickens are raised, still gonna eat them tho
It would be much easier for me to drive if Tech Insider's videos were narrated.
*Well that was an eggcellent video!*
And also their yolk, low grade egg yolk very liquid while high grade very firm like jelly when you crack them
SUPER ❤❤
In France, we have 0, 1, 2 or 3
0 is for organic eggs from free-ranging hens
1 is for other eggs from free-ranging hens
2 is for eggs from hens on the ground who never go outside
3 is for eggs from caged hens
If all the eggs are still delicious why they need grades on them ?
HAHA I LOL'D WHEN I READ DESCRIPTION: Do your eggs have a grade? (i hope you get it XD)
Today : I am here watching these videos.
Tomorrow : What did I watch?
Day after tomorrow : I’ll just rewatch it.... what was it called again? (Videos title) Im gonna go watch it. *_Doesn’t get up to do anything._*
*REPEAT*
This is my life everyday. _repeat, repeat, repeat, repeat, repeat_
What the eggs. I eat the shells. QUALITY SHELLS... 🔥🔥🔥👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼
Very cool thanks
Can someone explain to me about 2 yolks inside one egg ?
Now which one am I allergic to?
My egg brand is
Pampers 😐
Why is this in the culture playlist
Is it safe to est eggs with blood spot ?
Ive never seen one at all they would spot that when they are doing the inspection.
Yes. Not harmful at all.
It's safer than a McDonald's chicken nugget
here we use grades for sizes not quality. we even have grade c for smaller ones
Anyone remember when tech insider made tech?!?!??!!???
Can anybody tells me whats the title of the backsound?
This video was egg-cellent.
Don't forget that in the US of A chicken with Salmonella and their eggs are sold just like that, where as everywhere in the western world, you're not allowed to.
I was like so GradeAUnderA and tech insider collabed i guess
and the channel is 'Tech' insider
Mine is goldhen 😂😂😂 the ALDI brand
AA grade eggs are
Eggcellent
eggs have higher grades than my academics
Sooo... how do they determine if the egg white is good?
So its all about looks...
Smallest aircells? Did they mean air particles
I broke an egg once and saw it had blood and a chunk of something definitely a B egg
Alishba Fatmi or maybe it was starting to develop into a chick
@@shsshshhs1974 Eggs sold for consumption aren't fertilized. It's effectively a chicken period, and it's impossible for a chicken to develop.
Lick My Musket Balls Yankee i know that most aren't fertilised but some are (it's very rare)
@@shsshshhs1974 Enlighten me on the statistics of commercially produced eggs and their chance of fertilization.
Lick My Musket Balls Yankee well iv hatched a chicken egg myself out of 20 eggs so idk
I never even new there were different egg types probably cut I don't live in the USA but who just as long as they are edible there fine
I would rather pick AA
Eggcellent video
So, it's a marketing issue rather than safety or taste......
It should be A, AA, AAA!!!
In Canada We Don’t ..
One is fertile for penetration and one isn't and we aren't talking about those chickens either ;)
I once cracked an egg with 2 yolks inside. Is that quadruple grade A?
This is true, I once bought a dozens eggs and all 12 were doubled yolked. I did not eat them.
If those eggs were hatched.. twins would have been born
Japan has the best eggs
“Tech” insider
Fuckin hell, Egg quality now?!
There a fly on an egg at 1:06
Daniel Ramirez wow
You must have quite a lot of speed to catch that. Well done
Justin Y. Hi how are ya
People like you are needed to find out movie mistakes😂
Thicc eggs
I dont have AA A and B on eggs
ew blood on my egg makes me barf is disgust
Well they divided it to 3 kinds, i guess that is not Eggquality..
Now i see why we only get AA
There is C grade in Malaysia so B grade is not the lowest.
Ray YW grade D also got la friend. But our grading is by size and weight.
There's a difference?
EGGCELLENT video , im not eggsaggerating
Kasun that was an *eggcellent* one! definetly *cracked* me up.
song id?
Americans...
?
Im half american.....
IAmLazy ok
Well, now I know why bad eggs float. Thanks.
Not necessarily bad, just old. The longer you keep even a Grade AA egg, the greater the air sac because shells are permeable - and the eggs dry out.
Lol what a great way of making people pay more for the same eggs
Eggscelent.
Ion give a fuck as long as its not cracked
Why wouldn't it be ABC ? My country has started from A to C and yeah ppl still buy it eventho it's C
if i was a egg, i would get grade ffff
howtobasic was in this video
Cool
Good thing its still an egg
Always country hens egg r good
in my place there is F grade
WHAT ABOUT GRADEAUNDERA
cancer
Me my grade at school over 75%
I have high cholesterol now
Show me a grade Z egg
it’s called sperm
What does the F egg look like?
Those chickens looked like they were in Prison :(
Now where are the egg rights activists
It's just a Eggs and they just taste the same
Howtobasic
I’ve never seen a B quality egg
Quality AAA is more higher
i have 2 eggs between my legs
Jingle bells
Grade B smells
I ate an egg
Relatively worthless video.
Very little information as to WHY each part of the grade is important, such as the visibility of the yoke. OK. Why is a defined yoke bad???
We have AAAAAA class
AAA
I shit out my eggs so I guess its a F
Eggsellent 😶
American eggs creep me out because they are bleached white. It looks unnatural.
Here in India barely any egg is measured everything is AA grade
BLOOD SPOTS ? Ewwww
i'm vegan
