    I really like the 843, even though my second one had one of the washers on the wrist pin break and ruin the piston and cylinder. NeoTec sent me new piston and cylinder since I am able to fix myself, otherwise they were going to send me another saw. My first 843 is still running well, and I have used it a bit in a Granberg edger mill.

      I also like the 843, it is a surprising little saw. I know they estimate right around 3 hp. I don't know what it actually is but I would say it is close to 3 given how well they run. We have the 841 and there is no comparison with them, the 843 is so much more saw. As for the warranty, I have made claims with all of them. NT seems to offer a no hassle warranty, we had an issue with the 843 on the air filter. It seemed like it didn't clamp shut well and they went ahead and sent me 2 air filters, I thought that was considerate. I can't say they are worry free, but for the cost and capabilities, they aren't bad saws and are well worth the money for sure. I'm happy with the equipment and glad there is another option when it comes saws and clone saws! Happy sawing and thanks for commenting! Ric

    G’day Ric, that’s another lovely looking chainsaw mate and sounds great too. I’ve got two huge trees that have come down due to bad weather down here and my F380 just loves cutting them up all right… it’s a really great saw.
    Thanks for sharing another great video mate..

    I couldn't find if you commented on which you prefer and why, vs the Stihl clone (farmmac f380) or the Husky clone (farmmac f372)? You said they are similar but feel differently, can you say which one you'd prefer?

    • @CornucopiaFarmstead
      @CornucopiaFarmstead  ปีที่แล้ว

      That's a great question but has 2 different answers. I think the best way you can compare these 2 saws is comparing them as if they are 2 popular cars or trucks. I'll just use a car. I would say the f380 is similar to a camaro and the husky is similar to a fox body mustang. The Camaro(f380) is car recognized world wide but also has a large following and has been so for a long long time. It didn't change alot over the decades and really bounced back and forth between the best to top five(ish?) for many many years. Where as the Mustang(f372) kind of came out and took control for a bit and then mostly stayed about equal to the Camaro. Even though the Camaro has been around a while it still manages to be just good or from time to time just a little better, where as in the same respect the Mustang always seems to break the ground just a little bit better. Even though the Mustang will never be as popular as the Camaro, it always seems to have just a touch more than the Camaro. The look and feel , sound of the Husky, clone or OEM to me sounds better and therefore draws me to use it more often than not simply for that reason. Performance is almost Identical but the Husky clone just tickles my fancy a little more, like every time I think of my wife, I can't wait to simply see her! I hope this helps, for me function is almost as equal to form.
      All the best and thanks for Commenting, Ric.

    How do you like the light bars?

    • @CornucopiaFarmstead
      @CornucopiaFarmstead  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I like them pretty well, but. They make basically 4 bars now. They have the standard pop welded bar which is on the smaller lengths, they have the milled stainless. Both of these are thinner than the thicker husky and stihl bars. I would say they are on par with the standard duty Oregon Archer and Forrester bars(usually I only use those three brands). The longer bars are all milled and do seem thicker while also the wall thickness in the drive well is pretty consistent. I believe the longer bars are actually better than the 3 brands I normally purchase. The only bar of there I haven't purchased is the superlite with plastic inserts. I think they just have it in 36 length right now but I believe it weighs either 7 or 9 pounds. I read that somewhere but don't recall where, maybe Facebook? I can say them being stainless helps the strap rail to stay nice and true, i haven't had to dress the first rail on any of there bars yet so that is very nice. You dont realize how much you appreciate that until you dont have to do it!I haven't really torqued one over in a bad way yet so I can't say how well the deflection is on them yet. Normally in my experience non stainless bars are more apt to warp and twisting than stainless. Overall I have very nice experiences so far with them. For me anything 36 inches or longer is tough for me being I'm 5'5". I would say they are working out very well I haven't had the first issue yet.

      @@CornucopiaFarmstead Thank you! I work for an Oregon distributor so by default, I use a lot of their products because it's usually half the cost of retail for me. I used Stihl for years and I like both of them, Stihl and Oregon. The reason why I asked about the light bars, is because I recently purchased my first Sugihara bar, which is reduced weight, with the resin inserts and so far, I really like it. Kind of pricey but it's holding up well. As far as the reduced weight? I don't even notice it being on the end of a 70cc saw. I cut a lot of timber with it and by the end of the day, it still feels heavy. As always, if I can help you with anything, don't hesitate to ask. I always look forward to your videos. Be careful out there.

    o machado e a motosserra (the axe and the chainsaw)
    eli silva & zé goiano
    composição: moacir dos santos / zé goiano
    o machado e a motosserra tiveram uma discussão
    motosserra diz que é orgulho da evolução
    machado pra mim já era pois vem do tempo de adão
    você agora só serve pra fazer calo na mão motosserra dá um ronco relou o dente no tronco já se vê o pau no chão
    a serra chamou o machado pra fazer uma porfia
    machado aceitou na hora e quando chegou o dia
    entraram junto no mato pra mostrar a serventia
    a motosserra roncava machado velho tinia
    e naquele matagal foi só cavaco de pau pó de serra que subia
    e esse grande duelo deste jeito é que termina
    na briga das ferramentas o machado é que domina
    motosserra parou cedo ali no tronco da quina
    machado seguiu cortando mata grossa e mata fina
    motosserra impotente rebentou sua corrente acabou a gasolina
    que isto sirva de exemplo para toda humanidade
    e você que é tão jovem tem que saber a verdade
    respeite bem os mais velhos não brinque com sua idade
    uma pessoa idosa também tem utilidade
    é um diamante valioso se não tivesse o idoso não teria mocidade

    Cutting firewood here on our farmstead too! We have 90% white oak over here in SC!

    • @CornucopiaFarmstead
      @CornucopiaFarmstead  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's that time isn't it! I wish we had more white oak here but we don't unfortunately. We have more ash cherry sycamore hickory and lots of southern pine! We are removing some of the smaller hardwoods beside the trail (mostly ash), we have several dead standing hickory that will be coming down too. We are gonna have to do some roadside logging or buy some logs. Unfortunately our property is mostly pine. Did y'all fair ok from Ian when it came through? Much of our pine were wind swept here.

      @@CornucopiaFarmstead Not enough wind to blow the dead leaves out of the oaks! Got about 4 inches of rain though! We're about 55 miles NNW of Augusta in SC. Our pines are mostly young but there's a bunch of them! About 8 years old and 15 to 20 ft. We bought 18 acres that had been recently logged about 8 years ago! Lots of white oak, tulip poplar and a few sweet gum. We try and keep those cut back! LOL

      Sounds like y’all got the rain and we got the wind. We ended up with 1 inch of rain here and blown over pines. And that’s cool you are near Augusta. Melissa’s family is originally from Lorens.
