To explain the patch of water for soldier rocket jumps, when you rocket jump in water you jump considerably higher than normally.

@@Whomobile For some reason it's specifically ankle deep water that makes you jump miraculously higher.

that's the only logical reason for this bug
@@Concon12316 Ankles/feet in oil, and shins in soap that breaks the surface tension if it's too deep.

God I just really need a 10 hour version of these to fall asleep to. The combination of your excellent music taste, great line delivery, and source sound effects knocks me the fuck out. Love these videos even more when I actually watch them later and learn more about my childhood maps

I love the kitchen sink sort of design a lot of community maps have. It's really fun, especially for TF2 to just play around with a bunch of ridiculous and crazy mechanics and maps occasionally. It gets old after a bit, since they're usually terribly balanced, but I have a lot of nostalgia for maps like this
This gives me the vibes of a map I would create when I was in middle school on things like the Starcraft II map editor. I would just goof off and throw things I thought would be fun into the map withou any rhyme or reason, and certainly no consideration of balance.

It's been interesting playtesting this map through development and seeing it go from a pretty standard koth map to whatever it is now. Definitely a weird one but kinda fun in it's own way.
In terms of layout, how similar is the version in the video to the 'standard' version?
@@CongaYT Pretty much the same. There aren't multiple releases of this map though, the non weird versions just turned into this over time.

This map is also incredibly interesting... definitely just a guy who had idea, after idea, after idea, then just... kept going and put out a map! Love it.
if only more maps had that kind of spawn protection

i love this kind of videos,old tf2 community maps are gems of the past,sometimes i enjoy visiting old maps that somehow are still populated just to observe the dedication of people with free time from years ago left behind

Awesome video! It'd be really amazing if he (or someone else) added some of this crazy stuff to a normal TF2 map. Adding an invisibility puddle onto Viaduct or a couple exploding buckets onto Upward would be a treat.

Any reason why you are not hiding your weapon when you're hiding your HUD?
Sometime I think it's good for a weapon to be out for scale (or I just forget to turn off viewmodels lol)
