really this game is relaxing to levels that I can not describe. The fact of traveling through space or the ocean has always caused me concern, they are one of those things that I try to avoid experiencing even in video games, but the feeling of tranquility that the exploration in this game gives you undoubtedly makes it worth immersing yourself in this game. I think the best word to describe this would be experience and this experience has been quite personal to me.

You know what amazes me? That any video game, big or small, can influence one's life in many breathtaking ways and in many different shapes and sizes. Such as No Man's Sky, which could be the first video game a child would play, not knowing that in the future, the child would cry about it's memory. Another example: Minecraft. So many people cry over the memory of Sweden, their builds, their friends... It's just so astonishing to me that one simple piece of entertainment can expand into this Universe of memory, of which we will hold dear to the End.
I'm wondering if it's no coincidence that the chords are almost identical to "Sweden"... No Man's Sky has elements that are basically Minecraft in space.
I've only heard this song in a very silent and tranquil version on "blissful" planets. It lingers in the background, and somehow it makes me feel very lonely and a bit sad, as I build away on my base or w/e I'm doing. I feel like I'm the same as Artemis. Stuck in a simulation of a universe where I'm all alone. Why do I love a game that makes me sad?
Cuz sadness is one of the most felt emotions of the human body. We,as a race confined on a single planet,seeks unity between our similar,but when we can't do this,we feel alone. Just like a missing piece of a puzzle. That's what No Man's Sky is: even if you have the tools to explore the Universe,its size and the fact that you're pretty much alone makes you feel sad

Nothing we could do about it. Her really liked this game and he wanted me to play it. So... here I am playing this game and loving it (sometime painfully) reminds me of a happier time. I was doing the main quest, set down on the world and while I was there, I found the grave of another traveler. It was a simple, floating white stone, in the shape of a diamond, marking the spot where one of my countless brothers and sisters had come to the end of their long journey and... it was a fitting place, of rolling hills and forests, of valleys and the clearest blue sky. And over it all, this track played as I paid respects to the fallen traveler, wondering if my own journey would end somewhere are beautiful
The dream to use a vessel as a means to the stars... It's unexplainable, my motivation non-existant but my calling undeniable. This game, and especially it's music, capture a fraction of this feeling and makes it a partial reality. It's a special game, no doubt.
I remember i started this game when it first came out. being a stranger in this infinite world, unknowingly traveling through the galaxies. fighting off the strange pirates when entering a first contacted galaxy, plunging into an earthly atmosphere. setting foot onto the crust.... and this song comes and i never felt the most connecting feeling that i will forever travel among the stars in this virtual life! (Standard disclaimer: I'm not trying to say I know better, or more or less or deeper-or-not so-deep or whatever else separates my opinion from your opinion by however many significant orders of magnitude there are or not. Just me trying to explain myself, as completely as I can, yet as imperfectly as I understand. The creators of the music may think and say I'm totally wrong -- and as a creator, I've seen misinterpretations of what my creations were supposed to "mean". So I get it -- and yet I probably don't. It's okay. Like Walt Whitman might say, 'We all contain multitudes.' And our sets are not mutually exclusive. Just one person's opinion -- colored by their knowledge and experiences and the lack thereof. Thanks, apologies and profanities where needed & appropriate in advance.) To me it's about a beautiful and sad contradiction. The universe trying to understand itself through an infinitesimally small part of itself with it's own seemingly independent point of view, logic and experience, us, or rather one person. A person who realizes they are made of the same stuff that the rest of the universe is made of and is trying to grasp the unknowable whole through an incomplete understanding that always comes back to the wondrous and vastness and complexity as we understand the universe through logic, math, the sciences, but we constantly come back to our own point of view -- knowing what we know, knowing there will always be more to know, yet we will always be separate, yet a part of what we're seeking to understand, yet still separate. And we reach out in wonder, joy and frustration, like an infant who sees distant colorful lights, beautiful, curious with some hint of the way things are -- but we cannot touch it and understand it by how we experience the universe -- it is frustrating and sad, being part of an answer to a question we really want answered, and feel we should have the inside track because of all that we know and are is a part of that answer. And in the process of learning, living, becoming -- the wondrous beauty fades as it approaches the limits of our perceptions and the reality of staying alive in a universe which we are a part of, but is also our deadly adversary in nearly all ways, aging, disease, physical injury, chemical injury. (Aside: Oddly enough, we seem to get in the most trouble when we forget we just can't throw away or ignore the waste products of our existence, because we choose not to have some sort of understanding and recognition of the problem and the thinking that got us here in the first place.) We will always be a part of the universe, closer to it than even our own thoughts because we are made from the same basic matter, yet it will always be a mystery, an adversary, a poison, what keeps us alive, what makes us live. The eternal struggle, the eternal knot, as seen by the limited and imperfect knowledge and need to understand, yet a part of the answer, yet forever not a conscious part of the whole answer, as an outlier. The 10 or so tracks you can find on the playlists uploaded to youtube ARE all of the music recorded by 65daysofstatic for the game, but the game itself mixes them into the variations you hear while playing. So if you've heard a rendition of these melodies that you particularly like, it's almost certainly one that ONLY you have ever heard.
