I'm REALLY proud of this one, I'm CONFIDENT that you guys are gonna love it!
Starved and Tails are on Stardust Speedway, this happens a while after Prey, meaning Sonic is already dead. I wanted it to be sorta poetic in a sense.
This isn't like Fight or Flight in the sense that it feels scary and creepy, I wanted to give it more of a "This is the finale, end him now" kind of feel.

I like to imagine this take of starved is less jolly and aloof and more annoyed at Tails’ revenge. He’s got this stance which looks like he’s saying, _”Such a brilliant mind… and yet you choose to fight with such a rudimentary tool? I know you can do better, Fox, I’ve SEEN you do better… so why do you persist in this way?”_
ngl i was half expecting tails to break character and just say "suck my nuts" or something along the lines of that

Honestly it is kind of funny in a way. Starved is actively hunting Mobians and he is disappointed that his only equal in intellect could only come up with a knife to kill him

@@aidan_metallix72 honestly, you're not wrong. I don't think Tails would really wanna legit kill anyone. (More so just tiring them out. Like with that fight between Tails & Eggman in SA2 For example.)
This song feels a lot more melancholic than the OG Fight Or Flight. As if, instead of conveying the dread Tails feels knowing one wrong move could get him killed, it conveys Tails' grief for his friends and the fear that more people will end up like Sonic if he fails to kill Starved. Hell, maybe the melancholy could even come from Starved too to some degree, missing those days when Sonic and him were adversaries, before his hunger consumed the both of them. Overall an amazing song, can't wait to see this in Undying Phoenix!

Like Starved actually had some fun when doing his schemes against Sonic and friends but now he is gonna kill Tails and end that part of his life while Tails knows that this will be the end for either him or Eggman but no matter who dies their lives will pretty much be ruined

2:20 these three lines are only a few seconds long and yet they convey SO much emotion in such a short span.
you can hear the cockiness in starved's voice, taunting tails and making him doubt himself. believing he is unstoppable now after killing sonic. and yet in tails' one line you can hear not just the desperation in his voice but also the anger he feels but also the sorrow as well. all three feelings combining into a single phrase of ''SHUT UP! I'LL KILL YOU!!'' clearly showing just what tails' is going through.
not to mention such sense of sorrow and anger is heard through out the song as well, at times the song has a sorrow tone to it as can be heard in tails' vocals and yet it switches to a more fast paced and angered version which too can be heard in tails' vocals. this just shows how unstable his emotions are at the moment. truly a blessing to the ears if i say so myself. and certainly well done on such an amazing track. keep it up i say.

I love how powerful starved sounds here, he knows he's more powerful than tails. not to meantion how tails sounds scared yet determined, wanting to avenge sonic. That's what I love about your music, you always manage to put emotion into it. also the four way fracture reference is a nice touch.

What I like about the OG Fight or Flight is it feels like you’re actively being hunted, stalked, preyed upon. A game of hide and seek.
This feels more like the chaser is the chasee, the hero is backed into a corner and giving it all he’s got.
Probably because that’s how it’s supposed to feel as it’s states in the description 🤓🤓🤓

I like that the new feel and tone conveyed in this version of the song seems to imply (in my opinion) that this confrontation decides who gets to walk away and leave their past behind. If Starved wins, he’ll have killed his past, more precisely all those that came before him, including the (not morally) better version of himself. If Tails win, he’ll have honored HIS past and done Sonic proud by finally taking Starved down.

I know this song is Supposed to Be an alternative, but oddly enough, I could also see it working as a Sequel to Fight or Flight.
In Fight or Flight, Tails is facing Starved in his lair, in the room where he basically butchered and is currently devouring Sonic. And this is still the classic era. Tails is literally a child who hasn't gone through his character arc in Sonic adventure yet. He still low key relies on Sonic, but now he sees Sonic and Amy Dead in an oven/on a table, and the monster that did that too him. The smell of death in that cramped room and all the emotions would obviously be too much for Tails so he might have chosen to flee.
In this song we see Tails exhausted from running along the crumbling roads of Stardust speedway. Starved has been following him and has now stepped out of his vehicle to confront the fox, obviously very amused by Tail's anguish and despair. Tails is too tired to flee and feels more cornered than ever, even with the open space. He can no longer fly and his adrenaline finally takes over, taking Starved off guard and finally ending the nightmare for the rest of Mobius.
But clearly the trauma will still cling to tails for the rest of his life.

not saying he doesnt want him dead more so that theres respect in eggman for tails due to them both being rivals

Why don't we take some advice from Marvel Zombies and assume that if Starved doesn't eat in, let's say a few days, he may lose the idea of eating Mobians in the first place.

As much as the probability of this happening officially is practically 0, it would be cool to see an episode of Sonic Prime with the Starved Eggman universe.
My original thought was Sonic Prime was gonna delve into past shows and comics and drop the games Sonic in them. Archie, AoStH, X, etc. But what we got was cool too.

This is literally Fight or Flight but actually desperate. The tone of the song is super gloomy and sad, it makes it sound like Tails is NOT getting out of there alive. Banger song! Great job!
The beginning of how slow it is, the suspense after it, THE FLASH BACKS AND VOICE ACTING, ITS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! I love the little detail in the end of how (like normal FoF) it transitioned back to the beginning except TAILS sang egg man’s parts because now he has more of the upper hand in the fight rather then eggman implying how tails most likely won the fight or at the very least, had more courage! Outstanding video definitely worth the wait! Thanks for this masterpiece! Now I’m going to be more addicted to this song even stronger then starved Eggman addiction to animals…

When Starved And Tails Starts Singing (Referencing) Four-Way-Fracture Starved Sings Xeno Because At Some Point He Can Be Beaten And Tails Sings Majin Part Because He *Can Be Able* To Kill Starved. Tails Arrived fast as he could to help Sonic Against metal but once he arrived he only saw a bad future, he was confused since he did not saw Sonic anywhere until he looked at the speedway once he looked... in shock and traumatized he saw his best friend cutted at half by Furnance's claws once he saw eggman he knew he needed to fight to vidicate his mentor, he needed to fight or he was going to be...

I almost cry with this, its just...it sounds in a way that makes me feel so nostalgic for some reason
Because if you are a long time nominal fan, you can here a lot of reference's to his other songs even four way fracture
I know that at 2:15, both silhouettes are probably supposed to be Sonic, but I like to imagine that the one on the left is Sonic whilst the one on the right is Amy (who didn't die first this time), kitted out like Tails to fight Starved
Of course, she failed, which prompted Tails to try and fight Starved himself after reaching Stardust Speedway (Tails stayed behind due to not really being experienced in fighting, whilst Amy was already pretty deep into knowing how to fight with her hammer n whatnot)
Starved completely focuses on toying with Tails' memories of Sonic when he speaks, but the fox is angry about the deaths of both of his closest friends at the hands of this... monster, letting out the anger in a much more vocal way with his scream of "SHUT UP- I'LL KILL YOU!"

*A little Fanfiction time!:* Starved let out a loud, mocking laugh as he looked down at Tails, who was holding a combat knife in his right hand. "Do you honestly think that you can kill me after knowing fully well that he couldn't?" Starved said, his voice dripping with sarcasm.
Tails' tears ran down his face as his right hand trembled, yet still pointed the weapon at the unnatural figure that used to be Dr. Ivo Robotnik. The two were in the Chemical Plant Zone, the sky a reddish hue. Tails was filled with a mix of fear and determination, his emotions conflicting with each other as he faced off against Starved.
"YOU KILLED AND ATE MY BIG BROTHER!!!" Tails shouted as he charged towards Starved with the knife in his hand. Starved, however, was prepared for the attack, as the Doctor clicked a button on his wrist behind his back which made his right arm turn into a metallic shield. The two clashed in a surprisingly fierce battle, with Tails swinging his knife wildly and a few quick stabs and Starved blocking each attack with his shield. Sparks flew as the metal shield collided with the blade, and the sound of clashing steel filled the air. Tails was determined to avenge his brother, but Starved was equally determined to satisfied his endless Hunger. The fight went on for what felt like an eternity, until finally Starved managed to disarm Tails and knock him to the ground.
Starved stared down at the young boy with a hint of sympathy in his void black eyes. "You had so much potential, my little fox friend," he said a little sadly. "It's a shame that this situation ever had to occur, but you have to understand that I must fill my endless desire for more." He sighed heavily, feeling a wave of sadness wash over him as he thought of what could have been just for a moment before it quickly was pushed aside by his desire to consume.
Tails' body began to tremble uncontrollably as a sob escaped his lips, and Starved watched in silence. Suspense filled the air as Tails desperately thought of his last plan of attack. He knew he had to act fast, as Starved was closing in on him. With a deep breath, Tails mustered up all the courage he had and shouted, "I'm not going down without a fight!" He then lunged forward, hoping to catch Starved off guard.
Tails was quickly grabbed by his throat by Starved, and as the young fox struggled to breathe he held onto his wrist tightly. However, this didn't seem to faze Starved, who was determined to cause Tails harm. "Let go of me!" Tails shouted, trying to break free from his grasp. Desperate to escape, Tails came up with a clever plan as a last resort. He would use his tail to whip Starved, causing him to lose his grip and allowing Tails to make his escape. With a deep breath, Tails summoned all his strength and whipped his tail at Starved, successfully freeing himself.
Tails coughed before roaring loudly in anger and charging right into Starved with both his tails spinning as an extra boost. "Take this!" he shouted as Starved took the full impact force to his stomach and coughed out blood by the sheer strength of the young fox.
Starved fell onto the ground and activated his shield but Tails grabbed it and teared it off of his arm which surprise the Doctor by his strength for such a young fox as Starved eyes widen because he saw a mysterious transparent figure standing behind Tails with his hand on his right shoulder as the young fox eyes started to glow yellow, "Sonic...!?!" Starved thought to himself. "If it wasn't for Sonic... I wouldn't be alive... I wouldn't be who I am... I would of taken my own life... But he accepted me... He loved me... He cared about me... He wasn't only my best friend... He was my big brother that I admired and always looked up to... I wanted to impress him... I wanted to make... Him proud... But your right." Starved focus his attention back at Tails face. "Sonic couldn't because deep down, he also saw you as a potential friend..." A dark shadow covered Starved's eyes as Tails said in a sad and broken voice, "But I guess that's all gone now... I guess I'll never get the chance to make him proud..." Suddenly, a familiar smell of burning smoke filled the air and Tails looked up to see Prey hovering above them. Prey declared, "Must serve and feed the Doctor!" Starved chuckles. "Now, let's see how you taste my dear little fox friend." Tails stared up at Prey in silence, ready to face whatever was coming.
"Please lend me your strength," Tails said as he felt mysterious energy entering inside of his heart. His eyes glowed a bright yellow and he began to float a few inches off the ground. "Impossible!" Starved and Prey exclaimed as they saw bright yellow birds appear and hover around the fox, glaring at them with hatred and anger.

nominals music is an acquired taste imo. it may not sound that good on the first listen but afterwards it starts to sound pretty good. atleast that's how it was for me
@@atomic5989 I’ve tried on 5 occasions to listen to “the fighters”, the Majin and BF vocals are too wonky for me, and 15 minutes of noises that sound like a microwave getting sexually harassed makes my head hurt

My headcanon is that sonic was heading to tails at the end of the road. But sonic was killed as we all know. Tails seen this as he was in close proximity and rushed to the scene. He was too late. His former adversary and best friend was smashed to bits due to the robotic amalgamation. Tails furious looks up to find starved on his eggmobile. Starved chuckles and jumps off and towers over tails. "One more for old times sake?" He chuckles. Then obv he gets stabbed bc haha funnoes

The fact that starved uses sonics cockiness that made him die to furnace to make tails weak is absolute golden, The first person viewing is lit, switching from tails pov to starveds.
