Werner and Rudiger were also both underrated. Rudiger was an expert, and not afraid to try the occasional shot, and Werner moved forward! Unlike our players now...

@@man4437 but this is the thing, personally I've always been a fan of Werner. Even when he didn't score much. He made the important runs for the team and was effective doing that. When you look at the attackers today the contribute to nothing on the pitch.

What a night to remember... miss that day so much
This games explains our poor attacking even since Tuchel was there. We missed alot of clear chances still won games because of the coach we had,he made us create chances and chances,he was vocal and demanded belief and keep trying even when we missed chances,so at the end we still managed to win. TT we miss you💙

Say what you want about Werner, but he always made runs, opened space for guys like Mount and Havertz, and ran to counter-press. Yes, he's not the best finisher in the world, Toni isn't the best defender, Tuchel isn't the best manager of all time, and Roman wasn't the richest owner, but they cared about the club so much and did anything to win, through good times and bad. I hope the new young players, and the future manager could be the same, and the owner makes the right decisions moving forward.

The biggest thing about our attack, then and now, is that when we won we actually had a fast-paced attack. Mount and Werner always work hard together... that's what put teams under pressure. Without these two Havertz can't do much. If you look at the team now, who is fast enough to challenge Madrid's back line? Maybe Sterling and Mudryk... but they need to be more effective. Felix and Havertz do not press well... so they let everything get through, which puts pressure on our mid. Thank God for Kante, because without him our counters are snail pace.
Havertz presses exceptionally well and ranks amongst the world's best for forwards. He's just a terrible striker in almost every other capacity, but pressing is not an issue for him.

Watching this again and we weren't lucky to win. We dominated REAL in our home as it should be.
It was meant to be 6-2(adding two heroic saves by mendy).
We didn't get the last penalty decision and the season after that we were clearly robbed in the Santiago Bernabeu. All in all I wish our team can play with heart just like this tomorrow. I don't know the role havertz played here(it looks like A Second striker role and it suits him). The build up play between HIM, WERNER, KANTE AND MOUNT was superb.

that run he used to keep onside so kante could get him in..then the patience..and Mount getting himself open ..just fantastic.
Agreed he hasn't been doing very well recently but some chelsea fans have such short memory. He used to be a great player for us.
@@duckway4733 he doesn't get enough run of games to get into form. It can be really hard when your play time is so herky jerky start stop. I prefer Chelsea keep him out. Keep him healthy to sell in the summer and let him cook on a new team wherever that is.

The things I noticed with this replay, it was the team not the manager that won us this title, Rudi been trying to sell us out against Madrid a long time now, Mount needs to come on and not Gallagher in the second half, we shouldn't of sold Timo, Mendy should've started against wolves to see how he's doing, Havertz needs to sit down, he misses to much opportunities, Mudryk needs to start without a doubt, again Tuchel didn't win us the trophy, the team did, look at the mess he made against City, miss him, not me,
