    Does that thing store energy too or just use it as it comes in? And what is it?

      It’s a “solar generator” it’s just like any other solar set up but all self-contained. it has a lithium battery in it that charges from the sun and then the AC uses that charge. If I am bringing in more watts than I’m using then it will keep the battery charged and at 100% or close to it as long as the sun is out. All the specs are down in the description.

    Ya night time cooling is a challenge… I use a potable swamp cooler but I am in a dry area 3 to 8% humidity so swamp cooler works nicely at night… hi humidity it would not 🤷🏻‍♂️ that is a nice Blue Yeti you got there 🤙🏼😁👍🏼

      I’ve been looking into building the battery bank up on it so hopefully I’ll be able to run it at night without any issues. I still currently can if I am at 100% when the sun is going down and I keep it at 79° but the temperature outside Hass to be the right Temp so my compressor won’t turn on very much during the night And drain the battery. And thanks for watching!!

      This is what I do at home on The Grid, so was thinking this is how I would use a Portable Solar Gen in an outage to save Gen power...?

    Most likely you were only pulling in 239 watts because your battery was at 99% so it slowed down the watts in until you put the ac load on it. If your battery had been at 50% your wattage coming in would have been more.

      This Bluetti shows 2000wh. Overnight assuming she is pulling around average 350 watts from the AC (compressor will go on and off overnight) (depending on outside temp and how much the compressor runs) with full battery she would get about 4-5 hours. Not sure if you can add external battery to this one but to mke it from 7-7 she is going to need about another 3000whr worth of battery. (all depends on conditions).

    • @floridachickstinyadventures
      @floridachickstinyadventures  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@clintroberts1 yes it all depends on conditions. I ran it all night the other night on 79deg and with compressor only turning on a handful of times it ran all night 10 hrs with 25% left on battery. Starts recharging around 7:30 am. Keep in mind I also am running my dc fridge as well that pulls 0-30 watts depending if compressor is on.
