@6:31 Correct. Suppressors are generally not remotely as effective as they are shown to be in the movies. For the most part, they may help or reduce or eliminate the need for hearing protection but in 99% of cases they would not prevent a shot from alerting someone to gunfire unless it was a long distance shot. Also, for a suppressor to really be effective you really need to use sub-sonic ammunition. Otherwise the projectile will still exceed the speed of sound leaving the suppressor and create a sonic crack that the suppressor can have no effect on whatsoever. The only suppressors I have ever seen that could be considered "sneaky quiet" were some .22s and fewer 9mm weapons using slow heavy subsonic ammo. Part of the reason they are regulated by the federal government is the widespread misconception they would permit so much surreptitious murder.... they just don't.

Honestly this movie gets more hate than it deserves. But if you put it on its own it stands pretty well. But the first movie is just almost a perfect movie.
Sequels usually are worse, but I really enjoyed this one. hopefully the third will be as good as these two

This show is has my dads old agency and I know because I’m a son of a former agent that’s the DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) I know because I’m a son and nephew of former DEA agents that’s my dad and uncle had done busts like my uncle had a $11.3 million dollar bust in the United States 🇺🇸 like Hawaii and my uncle arrested the Japanese Gang called the Yakuza and my father also arrested the Japanese gang Yakuza and other gangs too like Hawaiian gangs and arrested a Mexican person that got in his face so he also arrested Mexican gangs too and my dad who’s a former DEA agent worked in Los Angeles San Francisco Hawaii and Florida and he worked all over Florida like Miami Florida and other places in Florida and my dad had a , $65 million dollar bust and he’s been assigned in Madrid Spain before arresting bad guys over their too and he’s been to Columbia arresting the suppliers for drugs and he’s saved kids from Meth houses 🏠 and my dad cleaned up California like Los Angeles and San Francisco as a DEA agent and my dad has been in lots of shootings before in Los Angeles and they were all shot by the cartels
And my dad has worked with the Federally’s some of them clean as an good cops and some are dirty as an bad cops
And Isabela Merced is my favorite all hands down

These movies are good because they outline the jist of what's happening, ppl that hate on these movies fail to realize that. Same with Tax Collector, it's kinda written weird but the dynamic of it is how things actually are

I always saw it that the kid Alejandro recruits at the end is a favor and opportunity for the kid. I think the kid actually intentionally saved Alejandro’s life by shooting him in the cheek instead of the head, and Alejandro realized that.
I love this movie. I don’t understand why people have such a problem with this. I think it’s just great.
I mean I can understand the main issue - it is VERY different from the first one, more like an action packed sequel. The first one was more like a bleak thriller, this one is more flashy, less grounded. I do like it equally, it is still a damn good movie, but definitely very different from the first one.
@@korintenson3079less grounded? It’s a movie. And based on recent events from the White House, it’s about to be reality accurate with special forces entering Mexico. Just 2 days ago Mexican president allowed an US Airforce reconnaissance plane in Mexican airspace by the state of Sinaloa. That means they’re officially gathering intel for future operations for Navy Seals and Delta Force!!

FYI Josh brolin confirmed on an interview that Sicario 3 which is called Sicario:Capos is on the works. He stated it Slow in development but surely coming . I cannot wait for it.

If you fire a super sonic round from a suppressed rifle/pistol you will still hear the weapon cycle and the *crack* of the round as it travels threw the air (sonic boom/shockwave) the concussive blast from the barrel of the rifle is masked. This is what people mean when they say you do not know where its coming from since you locate direction of fire by the muzzle blast. If you fire a sub sonic round from a suppressed rifle/pistol all you will gear is the weapon cycling and its very quiet, especially from a distance. Being shot at via a weapon with suppressor and sub sonic rounds all you will hear is something akin to throwing a rock really hard at the ground/wall.
Your question on suppressors. They hide muzzle flash and make the gun more quiet. The noise reduction can very dramatically change depending on ammunition. Supersonic rounds will still be loud sub sonic rounds are a lot quieter. That also depends on caliber. A 300 blackout subsonic round out of a rifle with a suppressor is very quiet.
These flicks are BRUTAL.
Regarding suppressors, or 'silencers,' if you're firing a suppressed weapon with subsonic ammunition, it becomes much harder to pinpoint the direction of the shot. The primary source of a firearm's loudness is the sonic crack of supersonic rounds, though factors like caliber and weapon system also play a role. Hopefully, that gives you a better idea
This was good. I can't wait til the 3rd film comes out. The theme song that plays on here, IMO its Alejandro's theme.
This one was still decent and I really enjoyed the story. I really like the slow building droning music theme with the hard drums coming in they use throughout. I hope the 3rd one is good.

Definitely not a DV film, but far from terrible. There is a third film in the wings and it looks like Brolin and del Toro are on board.
Yeah, I've been following developments on the third movie. It was on ... then off. Now, it's on again.
"What's the down payment?" To become an assassin? For Alejandro, it was his wife and daughter. Pretty steep if you ask me.
Also keep in mind, nothing suppresses the action, which is pretty loud, and what the bullet is hitting.

Speaking of Taylor Sheridan’s work you guys should def check out his film wind river. He actually directed that one that’s a really good one. Hell or high water is also pretty good as well. Really enjoy Sheridan’s projects.
Underrated and over hated part 2 to a top tier movie. This one not like the first, but it’s a damn good action movie
I have both on bluray and it took a while for part 2 to grow on me, but i loved it after a few watches.
FYI: The guy played by Jeffery Donovan is based on a real Delta guy named Mike Vining very nerdy looking and dangerous.
For reference the noise reduction of a suppressor is mainly down to the calibre of ammo and type of round used....
eg small calibre, subsonic requires very little gas to be captured and slowed by the suppressor (which is what lowers the decibels)
A large calibre round, with supersonoc loading will be LOUD whether suppressed or not

Looks like isabela merced is a star on the rise. She has been great in every role shes in including alien Romulus and as Hawkgirl in the upcoming superman movie.
Naw he absolutely killed that kid that shot him at the end. Also, there is a 3rd movie in early development with everyone returning including emily blunt and Denis
Surpresors are like you said very loud but the loud part comes from the bullet breaking the soud barrier if you shoot subsonics is much more cuallet like at 50m you will baerly heir the shoots so its not movie cuallet but better than knife or arrows
You guys should review American Primeval.Taylor Kitsch did an awesome job and Shea Whigham’s in it too

This movie, in my opinion, was better than the first ... and many do not see it that way. So, I'm wondering what movie they watched. And the first was dynamic.
How this movie was directed was not the problem and the sound design was great, but the script/screenplay was not as airtight as the first. I don't mind the unresolved outcome because it generates discussion. I never considered a part 3, but it does seem fairly obvious now.

Just gonna be honest with you fellas - I love your reactions.... But I'm like 99% sure that was no recruiting by the end 😂 I'm pretty sure I read (because I was bored as F during covid19 lockdowns) that they chose to to the same with the ending in this one, as they did with the Guillermo's "tickling" scene in the first one.
Not show it, because your mind racing as to WTH is going to happen is wilder, psychologically, than if they just show violence.
