    My preferred house curve is something like. Flat though the mids, a 2dB/Oct rise from 200hz to 20hz and a 0.6dB/Oct fall from about 1000 to 15k then flat from there out past 20k . Gives "bass" about 12db above at the 20hz point. But then I roll off at 23hz at 48dB/Oct BW for driver protection and extra volume. Means at high volumes in movies the very low 16hz etc are not trying to flap the drivers meaning very good bass clarity even at 105dBSPL peaks on the subs.
