This kind of topic really interests me a lot, cause I'm an English major in Brazil. Understanding the American education system can be a little tricky for someone who doesn't live in the USA. Learning a foreign language means also getting to know its culture. Been binge watching all the videos from this channel. 😊
I've prariced your podcasts for 2 months and I find that I've improved my listening skill from A2 to B1. Amazing and that's a super surprise for me, thanks a lot!!!
Hi,you just watch and listen these videos or you also read and repeat after him?
U r lying.... B1 is quite a high level I guess
@@anthonysavio3875 i don't think so, listening quite easy to improve if you have enough time for it

Thank you. I have a english listening test tomorrow. You help me a lot💞
The channel encouraged me to fully develop the language, thank you!! I'm in Turkey, I just finished law school, I can say the following on behalf of my department in our country, in addition to my four-year courses, I also took economics, forensic medicine, sociology, statistics and history courses. At the same time, my department was thirty percent English, there were times when I had a hard time.
my department a hundred persent Eng. Well, actually ı love learning so its not a problem 4me. I wish ı know eng, german. Fortunately i have enough time to learn them. Goodluck
@@just_ercan6917 We can always create enough time✌🏻🌟
hi dilara i am from türkiye to, i have a question for you, you finished hukuk fak. but you know english well how possible? galiba hukuk değil de siyaset falan deme

The fact grabbed my attention is that students don't have to choose their specific majors until the end of second semester. Unlike colleges in US, we have to choose one specific major before the colleges start. So, a lot of us have struggle for that to make a decision for a thing without hestitation. And living cost and tution fees are included too.
Your videos are very helpful for my students and for me, too! Thanks from Tbilisi, Georgia!
Thanks for the video! It was pretty clear to understand. I will look at your other listening videos.
Ur topics choises are really interesting and encourges me to listen the whole playlist ❤

That for this amazing video Conner. My respect to all those American college students who made it and are still paying for their education to the government. It's a tough journey but there's always light at the end of the tunnel.

Hi Conner! Thanks for your videos. They help me to improve my listening skills. I visited the US last year and it was difficult to understand American pronunciation. Therefore, I am trying to improve my English. I am from Tunisia (a small country in north Africa), the university's tuition are not high, it's around 70 dollars per year.
You're welcome! I'd love to visit Tunisia some day :)
@@listeningtimepodcast you are welcome !
I like this episod it's very riche by informations thank you bro
thanks for video
OMGGGG! That's crazy and really expensive! Usually in Italy, you don't need loans to go to a public University. Tuition is around 3.700 Eur per year, sometimes more, sometimes less, it depends on family incomes. However, the target is between 1.800 and 7.000 Eur with an average of 3.700 Eur.
Thanks for the info!
in TURKEY(TÜRKİYE) it is free
@@king-ii2nn Does all high education is free in Turkey?
Daaaamn i got whole the meaning I've understood you as perfectly
Is true that college coasts so much in US but it's free in Algeria and it's in vain too
Hello. Thank you for these videos. In my country, we usually dont have dorms. And we have to choose our major the first year.
thanks!
In Mexico, if you talk about higher education It is more frequently heard about the University, which is a place where someone goes to gain knowledge and when you finish, you receive your Barchelor´s degree. Depending on the university where you study, you could be able to finished in 4 years or more. Also, this stage of your life is when you and your parents make the most hardest investment. Fortunately, in Mexico there are many public universities where the costs are cheaper than private school, where you´re able to apply for scholarships. Even so, It is a challenging investment both in money and time, but it is also one of the most rewarding experiences.
It is fair to state that education system in turkey is not good. But there are some rooted universities that was established in ottoman era like bogaziçi or galatasaray university. İn addition to them there are relatively new universities in capital city like bilkent or metu hosting many students from all over the world. All of them are the best universities in turkey with international education, social opportunities with variety of student clubs and campus life. I recommend someone considering to come to turkey to look at these universities firstly. Also sabanci, koc, özyegin or itü, dating back to 18th century, offers a good education and opportunities
It was interesting, I didn't know some things ty
OMG i understood everything, that´s so cool for me
I've studied at unicamp in Brazil and i lived in dorms as well. There are the dorms was out of college, so we had a bus that leave us from dorms to campus. In dorms I lived with other people, actually 4 or 5 students. In our case, we didn't like party, so for me that moment of my life was very cool.
Your voice is obvious thank you for it
Sir You are great 💚💙❤️💛💜🧡
great effort man keep it up
I likeit so much, thanks!!!
You're welcome!
I live Turkey and Public colleges are free but of course private colleges have tuition but to enter the colleges u have to pass a exam and that exam is quite hard okay let me tell u , we enter to exam with entire students that to apply and this is in 2 stages we call TYT and AYT,first stage is core competency and second stage is more specific with ur major, we have major in high school that to chose a job
Thanks for your effort
I graduated from university in 2021. My faculty was a Information Technology, so as you know there a lot of paths to choose for you. For example, software engineering, or network engineer, or data analytics and so on. When I was a freshman on university, I started to learn software engineering. Now, I'm working as a software engineer at telecommunication company of our country. So back to the theme, I won university with 521 points and at this year which I won, this point was in the range which the government will pay for your tuition. I mean, my university tuition was paying by government. After graduating I chose to improve my career life rather than to go to study master degree.
And also, there is fact here why I chose to improve my career. Because in our country the quality of lessons is not good enough. I mean after four year graduation you can learn next topics by yourself.
BTW, I forgot to say where I from. it is Azerbaijan 😄

I´m from Argentina, in my country, some Universities are free and public, and it has significant careers in medicine, advocacy, and economy among others.
Much easier to understand, but I suggest that you explain all the impressions and phrasal verbs that you use in your videos because not everybody is able to understand that.
In my country, we choose our major before taking classes. Universities here tend to be small and do not have dorms (except for UNMSM, which is a national university).
According to your video, I consider myself lucky 😁. In Morocco, studying in universities is free. I myself studied physics, then computer science and lately I've started studying English (you can get many BA degrees. It only depends on your love of learning). I love learning languages and since my studies were science-based, I was not able to master English like I did for French and Arabic. So, after many years of teaching, I decided to re-enroll in university and study English. Thanks for your videos. I need to enhance my listening skills and that helps a lot ✌️.
The same thing in Algeria studying in university is free and living in dorms is also free so we are lucky hhh 😂
@@serine-oz9mf الحمد لله على نعمه 😁✌🏻
In my country, getting into a public university is very hard. before getting into university, people have to take exam (test). after taking the exam, if their exam score is very good, they can get it into a public university. And public universities have no tuition. you need money for dining hall fees of course, but you don't need a lot of money for public universities. but unfortunately private universities is very very expensive. but, because of getting into a public university is very hard, people get into a private university instead.
and btw I understood your speaking very well, thank you
In my country we spend 3 years in the University and we should choose the subject that we want to study at the beginning of the year .... We also receive students loans every 3 month but thanks god we don't need to pay it back we also have dorms where students from country sides or others citys live while their studies
I really loved this topic, it’s interesting. In my country, we have to decide what we are going to study since 16 or 17 years 😢.

Mesmo sem presta atenção, entendir um pouco. Thanks

He talks about American universities and emphasizes that out-of-state tuition is more expensive than in-state tuition, it costs 45 thousand dollars, he also explains the difference between university and college, the meaning is the same. He also talks about the campus being an uncomfortable place because there are people interested in going to parties or drinking a lot.
Greetings form Peru.
Thanks I like your video, can please make all not just audio because it help me to Focus
How to study this video : 1- you can just listening without looking in subtitles just listen and try to understand 2- listen second with writing a new word and loud out . 3- in last you now can listen by your ear without anything else like your native language,
Thanks for your videos ,how long time I need to improve my listening and reach to c level and speaking ,please 🌹
Thanks again for your video. And today's writing is a little bit longer. Does it means that you really help me a lot?
Today's topic is about the differences of University System in America and China. Before I start the topic, I hope to explain the different using of these two words - college and university. In America, they have the same meaning and people tend to use college more frequently. But in China, university means a higher-level education than College.
Okay now, let's start the topic. First thing’s first, I'll talk about the cost of university. In America, as a student, you need to decide whether you want to study in state or out of state. That is because the tuition has a huge difference. If you attend to a college in state, the tuition is around 25,000 a year, but if you attend to a college out of your state, which you didn't have a high school there, the tuition is around 41,000 a year. That is a big difference, right? But in China, we don't have this problem. As long as you attend to University in China in any city, the tuition is almost the same.
The second aspect is about loan. In America, the US government lend money to students who want to pay the tuition, right? But in China, it is impossible. Of course, you need to give the money back to the US government and plus some interest, but at least, students have a chance to have the education. But in China, most of the time, if the family doesn't have money, some students will stop their study.
The third part is about educational aspect. You know American students can choose which subjects they want to study before or after entering the college, and they change the program easily, then they start specific subject through the third and the fourth years. But in China, it is not easy to change your program and you must choose the area before you enter the University.
Finally, I hope to share some thing about dorms. In America, most of the college don't have dorms. Students need to choose where they live by themselves. Some of the colleges, they have dorms, but usually they are very small. This is another difference between China and America. In China, most of the Universities are huge. There are lots of buildings for dorms. But in this case, both America and China have the same troubles, that is there are many drinking Clubs, parties and other bad things about leaving inside the campus. It courses many negative effects.
So before you choose whether you want to study in America or study in China, you need to consider all these aspects. Hope today's topic can share more useful information with you.
Good Morning. In Brazil there are two types of university (Public and Private). The Public colleges are free, but to get in you need to pass in a difficult test that invloved everthing you studied in a high school. The private colleges are like in USA and some of them are very expensive, but there are some that are cheap.
I love your support 😢💌 bro
I will listen to these twice a month for a year 😅
This topic is interesting. In our country,College and University are not the same.College is lower level than University.Students can apply subsidy too.The government provides subsidies to students.
in my country we also pay for colleges if we want to go special colleges and also theres have a free schools which is only for smart guys ,also we are also have colleges free and which you don't need to be smart but in thoose colleges you don't get a good education.
Super
okey so, here in argentina, our universities doesn't have "dorms" you either look by yourself where to live or travel a lot, sometimes it's good to find roommates to share the cost but you must be really careful with that. Here are public and private colleges, the private one are really expensive although I'm sure that compared to USA's universities it's nothing; the public ones have those "students loans" but aren't for everyone and you don't have to pay back after you finished. Also we need to know what we're studying before we choose the university cause since first year we have specific subjects of our chosen career
me siento muy felíz porque entendí todo
Great job!
you are so lucky to living in u.s.a
Clearly
I am glad that I am Saudi .In my country no need to pay for college tuition
instead, in high school if you have high GPA you will be able to continue studying
Alhmdulillah
God, that's unbelievable. In Brazil, you can also pay, but we have a system for students to study for free. There's a very tough exam (once a year - ENEM), and if you pass that, you can choose your course (depending on your exam results). Many people study for years to pass. I spent 3 years to be approved for medicine.
Hello, how are you teacher ?
Greetings from Egypt!
Actually, Egyptian universities are for free for every Egyption one.
If you're Egyptian, you'll pay only 1,000 EGP per one school year, and the education here is good as well.
Honestly, i'm surprised by these university prices in the U.S.
im from Iraq but studied my collage in Turkey. it is quite different, i mean the part that u mentioned about choosing the majors after two years is not available there. so i chose my department before even starting our classes which is civil engineering.
in addition, quite simply, we can say that the cost of university tuition is much lower than in U.S
You think like that because of the exchange rate.Situation isn't like that because in our country, tuition isn't affordable and if you want to study well, you should go to best state schools.
But thanks for teaching 😊😊
I paid 25k tuition for 5 years of bachelor's degree and it's very expensive considering the mid-range in Spain 🇪🇸.
My university like something that is made for people that really want study technic subjects
I like to swim, yeah, basically, but it is my favourite activity at the beach
Wooow ı can understand maaan ı didnt know thatt!!🤩😎
Great job!
When we talk about universities in Brazil, the costs depend on the kind of university and what course you want to do. If the university is public, you don’t need to pay anything independently of the course, but it’s necessary to study a lot to pass on the university exams. On the other hand, if the college is private, you will pay cheaper or more expensive depending of the course. If you want, for example, to study to become a doctor, the price will be extremely expensive.
