I met Michael Biehn at AwesomeCon in DC. I was so star struck when I first met, he complimented my smile and we talked for 30 minutes. He’s probably one of the nicest and honest actor I ever met. My brothers and I got a selfie with him and I got a hug from his wife!
Just met him at Wintercon NYC. All you've said here is true. We spent so much time discussing what a loss it was for him and us when Bill Paxton died. They did five movies together and were very close.
Looked for this clip because Sir Terry sadly passed away today and I remember watching this very interview at the time also Michael Biehn is one of my favourite actors and deserves much more recognition. A very talented man.
K2, M.B., nice guy and has that athletic presence. It's 2018, people ask why he wasn't a big star. I say, he was. Just a quiet one. He was great in 3 all time hits! Terminator, Aliens and Tombstone...personally, I thought he rocked in K2.
I agree. Every time some fans say, What a shame that he never got HUGE in Hollywood or too bad Hollywood never gave him a chance, I feel confused! The Terminator and Aliens are 2 of the most popular movies of all time! Tombstone is universally loved. The Abyss, while not a commercial success, was nevertheless an amazing film with him portraying a complex character. I just get annoyed when people say he never made it. Underrated, yeah, but unsuccessful? Hells no.
Michael biehn is one of those legendary actors who could never be forgotten when it comes to the movies like "The Terminator" & "Aliens". His role in the movies showed his real dedication towards acting & played the key factor in making these movies a blockbuster hit.
Michael Biehn was my favourite actor in the late 80's and early 90's. One movie that a lot of people missed, was called Timebomb with Patsy Kensit. K2 was possibly my favorite though. A really great movie and there are so many quotes from it, that I used to use all the time. When anything ever when wrong in life with someone, I'd say "It's a good sign H, it's a good sign". Of course, Aliens, Terminator and the Abyss are classic Michael Biehn too.
I like movies with him and he his very fucking handsome 😉 ...beaside very good actor example T 1 and bery good role in K 2...do much greetings for him ✌️
Cameron loves him because he's a professional who can take criticism and never complains. Watch the abyss documentary. all anyone does is complain about how hard it was to shoot that movie. not Michael.
It's a shame the interview was so rushed (although they often were back then). Michael Biehn comes across very well here. K2 was a pretty good movie too.
The audience don't help in this interview. It was like he was being interviewed in an empty room, in fact that's what I thought until the applause at the end. That audience is ice cold. The story about his father in law was funny yet not a peep from the crowd, kinda set the tone. Biehn still came across very well.
😃Well,i am the Kyle Reese who come from 2029 in the future to 1984(the past now).i can see that i have a double!i think it's because of the paradox of time travel! What is the year are you from Kyle?
Księciunio Because he ended up type-cast in soldier roles, appearing in early James Cameron movies in a time when James Cameron wasn't the director he is today. Only a few years after this interview actors such as Tom Hanks, John Travolta, Kevin Costner etc.. began to reinvent themselves. Biehn became static, scratching around for the next paycheck. Then if that wasn't bad enough for his career his alcoholism took hold. I still hope he makes a comeback though.
@jazinegrrrl you make a good point. Type casting can actaully affect an actors career. I always wondered why his agent didn't find him romance or drama films.
Big fan of Michael Biehn, he was underrated but he also looks like he made bad choices on film choice. Jim Cameron gave him great chances but Bill Paxton who was behind him in actor rankings at the time took over. Gutted for Biehn because he was brilliant in Terminator, Aliens & The Abyss. He just needed a good director & story!
Big fan aswell. But there are also other reasons. He often had a hard time understanding movie scrips and he had problems with alcohol. I hope he'll get a come back/secound chance at some point. The latest famous movie he was in was Planet Terror.
Old linda follow with Schwarzenegger abraced to the . To have walking stick both .let break ball to Miki . That ir was in the past, when Youn the Miki, now the mine eye .
The problem with Biehn is that he was so damn plain, he needed to have something about him to make him more memorable, Van dam and Arnie had their accents, Stalone had his sneer, Lundgren was a giant blonde Aryan looking prick, Seagul was just weird and Bruce willis had his sense of humour.

Big deal
I've met his son, and he's just as nice as his Father.
He really was a handsome man. He must have driven crazy many people, both men and women, back then.
i have been his huge fan since the terminator. He was always amazing in the film. He will be my star forever.
I couldn't even string a sentence together when I met him 🙈🙈🙈
Michael biehn is kick ass😊

Such a cool guy.
Plays an awesome role in The Abyss too.
He is a solid performer- look at his brilliant "Tombstone" appearance - he was the only one of the cowboy gang that was genuinely menacing- brilliant
I'm looking! I'm looking!

He let alcohol get the best of him

@@LauraSusanJohnson Well said Laura !😊

Michael, you are so sweet:) Love you forever!
I’m meeting this guy in about three weeks I’m absolutely bricking it lol 😂
He is awesome !
He is the best!
Thank you for this my friend! Very under rated guy, bit of a schoolboy hero for me.
love this guy

It's the only movie he'll be remembered for. Not so much what an actor wants from their career. They want a succession of good roles
@@dougmasters4579
Maybe they were listening too intently to rustle, clap and give their presence
Love him In Films
His wife is one lucky girl
He'll always be Kyle Reece to me
To me too😎👍😉

Agreed!
Alien 4 was filmed at the hospital I was in with Michael biehn and Sigourney weaver's daughter
He is great loved him in terminator and aliens ,I hated that he got killed of ❤❤❤
really good movie
Why didn't he ever become big? From this interview, it seems that he himself was certain he was going to become huge.
I have never understood it. He was set to become huge...

Drugs and alcohol took over.
Listening him seems he doesn't like Arnold ... probably he stole his fame

K2 was a bad ass movie.
K2, Lords of Discipline, good films.

He was great in Tombstone too
Lovely Guy
NOBODY REMEMBERS HIM AS THE DOOMED GOOD GUY MARINE IN THE ROCK.
Well I do.
Rick that’s cause he played a SEAL and was killed by Marines ;)
you remember incorrectly
he would have looked cool as T-1000 in T2
K2 was a great movie and Biehn was excellent in it. Not sure why the reviews are so bad.
Johnny Ringo
Wigan was so popular back in the day, looking at it now ...he was not a good interviewer
why does he keep smelling his finger?
Hicks
I bet then his new English siblings took him seriously. ))
i came for michael biehn, but I also wanted to hear that atrocious Wogan music!!
No need to be a movie or mini series
