While some Chinese students can speak both Mandarin and Cantonese. Those from southern China, including Hong Kong, usually only speak Cantonese. As with other lesser known Chinese dialects, it must be heartwarming for them to be spoken to, in their own language. As with this lady, it put a big smile on her face. He knows some languages well, like Cantonese and Mandarin, but if you watch his other videos it's very clear that he learns the same 30 or so phrases in each language, calls it a day, and moves on to the next one. That's not "learning" a language, that's doing enough to have a quick conversation, upload it to TH-cam, and make money off the ad revenue.

@@TheCraftero It's not that, it's that he purports to know so many different languages when most of them are just 20-30 phrases that he memorized. Quality, not quantity my friend.
@Tappy Toes No ones's hating. It's just facts. He knows some languages well, like Cantonese and Mandarin, but if you watch his other videos it's very clear that he learns the same 30 or so phrases in each language, calls it a day, and moves on to the next one. That's not "learning" a language, that's doing enough to have a quick conversation, upload it to TH-cam, and make money off the ad revenue.

I really want to learn Thai! I think I should focus on one language at the time though.. now it's arabic. I have a list of the biggest immigrant languages in my country (Sweden), Thai is pretty high up ^^

Man doing this helps others around the world interact with African Americans and tear down stereotypes. It's breaking down barriers to those who view us in certain ways because of what they heard or seen on tv. We should have teachers like you in in our communities, after school program would be great.
