I wonder how Daggerfall Unity would look like with these models. They try to make everything "3D", but polygon models look so displaced, "soft" and "uncanny". I think making the trees and enemies out of voxels would amplify the retro effect AND the immersion of this timeless game.
This is absolutely inspiring. Watching makes me think of what it would take to make a voxel game. Surely an automated process would have to be introduced, and that thought led to others. Fascinating to watch. Well done.
Oh ho, it's one of those hitscan enemies and also the ones that like to jump around alot. That voxel chaingun arm is very chunky too. :D Also, Duke was correct to call out on their... lack of toilet manners. XD
I cannot say it enough. THANK YOU. You're bringing so much new life to these older games...particularly for those of us who enjoy revisiting these games in VR.
Hi Cheello, We Are awaiting this for A long time now and GOD... it's comiiiiiing ! You don't know how we like this !!! We are Kicking Ass Hyped Thx for "AAAAaaaaaaaall" your Mass work about that with a think from Jon St john "Damn i'm looking Goood" Suuuuure. Every Post is 🤩THx
I wonder if it would be possible to 3d-print these keeping the voxels properly colored and sharp-edged. If it makes economical sense and you could avoid troubles with IP rights and stuff like that, I'm sure there would be people that would love to have your work as figurines on their desks or shelves or whatever. I wonder if they got anything cheaper than those prototypes of fine white dust with inket colored glue/resin sintering full-color 3d printers I saw many years ago....
Honestly, there needs to be some better tools. I make voxel models largely through Blender with a small grid and cubic texture projection, but I feel like there are better, less intensive methods. I just don’t know what they are, at the moment.
Wasn't expecting the lizard moon at 4:54.

This is insane, so much effort has been put into this!
Ah very satisfying, scratches that nostalgic itch! Nice work
No idea why these haven’t been in my recommended
This is so awesome. My favorite build engine game was Shadow Warrior. But seeing this is equally awesome.
Pure talent!
I think you may have started a revolution.

Great work
As a hypothetical, if you were to do a final fantasy sprite, say Terra, would you do anything differently?
Were you showing this in Raze?
Yes
Amazing work as always!

Now do the poop! 💩
K... i wanna say it correctly.
Is it pronounced chello, cheeello, or a Spanish/greek cheeyo? I rep your channel hard and wanna do it justice.
You can say cheeello or cheeyo like in Spanish
