NOTICE: I Formatted my USB drive. I was under the presumption this would remove everything associated with "Ventoy." However, "Formatting"" the USB drive did NOT remove Ventoy. When Ventoy is placed on the USB drive, Ventoy creates its own partition. This partition is NOT "Formatted" when the USB drive is "Formatted." Apparentlly the only way to get rid of Ventoy from a USB drive is to "Merge" all the partitions, and then do a "Format" of the USB drive. I was going to use MemTest86 on its own - without Ventoy. So, MemTest86 was placed on the one partition that was new and had been formatted. But, when I used MemTest86 it showed up under "Ventoy," even though MemTest was on the other partition.
The Ventoy2disk utility has an option, clear ventoy.

Both Medicat and Hiren are both excellent and you can't go wrong with either one, however 3 antivirus programs vs the 1 medicate gives edges out the medicat. I don't see the reason to not have both of them. I have a usb I got from a guy at a computer hospital with all of the inhouse programs, with Hiren's I'll have 3 usb tools for no reason. I might be about to start my own computer hospital. 😂

I thought as this that's why I'm here but my doubt is if I have hbcd downloaded, can I copy these archives onto my usb ventoy and that's it or I must do something else? Regards from Ags. Mexico.
i follow you step by step, but when i copy hiren file i get an error message; The file has properties that can't be copied to new location
I have forgotten password. Using Ventoy w/HBCD only, on USB. After F9(hp laptop) my ootions are OS BOOT MGR (boots to window regularly), USB HARD DRIVE(need some type of code to unlock something) & BOOT FROM EFI FILE (OPTIONS: SYSTEM, Acpi...HD(Part1,) & VTOYEFI, Acpi....HD(Part2,). VTOYEFI leads to 5 options, , all have failed. Help me????

QUESTION: Can Hiren's run from a USB formatted in NTFS and with a SSD in MBR and Legacy mode? I simply cannot get this to work.
Are you looking to run Hiren's directly from a USB, or on a Ventoy USB?

Well I messed up. In order to getthe disk i had to register with m?r. Now the only drive showing is hirens and my cd rom drive. Not your fault at all. Computer is a ryzen 5 1600 on an Asus B-350. Maybe a good time to do linux. I do not have any flash drives but i have a 360 gb or so drive. I put hirens, linu mint, and ubuntu.
What were you trying to do and what's the current status? Anything the community can do to help?
Well I figured out what happened. I did the MOR for both ssd drives. It removed my Win 10 boot. I can get it back. My sxd drives are connected to a 3.0 usb port. Tha ks for the reply.

It’s based on WinPE, so yes, you should be able to use it to troubleshoot your issue.

@@jordan.kaliop you can try medicat. It has boot repair tools as well as password reset tools. I have a step by step video on building that USB.
I downloaded win11 iso. Mounted it, modified a file so it would skip hardware check, then created back to iso. But when modded win11iso ia on ventoy usb stick it says iso not bootable. How can i fix that issue?
Is this a full blown Win 11 ISO, or are you running WinPE here?

DISAPPOINTMENT: I turned a USB 3.1 drive into a Ventoy drive. I put ISO files for both Windows 10 and Hiren's Boot CD on this Ventoy USB drive. I would get the Ventoy drive to start up, but when I would start Hiren's Boot CD I could never get Hiren's Boot CD to "boot" up at all. I tried in Windows Normal Mode and waited a half hour, but nothing ever happened. I then tried that other Windows mode. In this mode it tells you what "percentage" of the files have "Loaded" up. But, after a half hour my files never got any higher than 1% of being loaded up. BOTTOM LINE: Ventoy and Hiren's Boot CD are both BIG DISAPPOINTMENTS! Other people have said Ventoy only works if "Security Boot Mode" is turned "Off." I couldn't even get that to work with Ventoy. VERY DISAPPOINTING!
I'm very sorry you had such a bad experience with Ventoy. Did you try any other ISOs, or just Hirens? I'm wondering if you're having a Hirens issue or a Ventoy issue? I have had a lot of success with Ventoy, so I'm not sure exactly what the issues is in your case. If you're still interested, I'd be glad to help troubleshoot. If you're done with it, I totally get it.
@@theit-unicorn1873 I have two ISOs on the Ventoy drive. I have Hiren's and I have Windows 10. So far I have not attempted to run Windows 10. I had one person say you needed to turn "Security" features "Off" in BIOS for Ventoy to work properly. But that did not solve anything. And another person said you could not have Ventoy plugged in to the USB drive prior to booting. However, that also was not the problem.

On most PCs you can leave secure boot enabled if you really need it, however, you'll have to add the specific USB to the key list in UEFI. I usually just disable it needs to be on.
