Not many devs have the balls to end their game with the lead protagonist sobing. But it works so well here. It's what makes this Gabriel Belmont infinitely more interesting than someone like Kratos.
That moment when Belmont was engulfed with power and manifested real angelic wings was probably the moment when the Archangel Gabriel possessed him for a brief moment

i started back playing in 2020. i'm finally on the last boss Satan. I'm having some difficulty getting to him while he's in a weakened state. I know you have to switch between light and shadow magic. it's tricky asl though.
WOW.. I loved this game until this boss. I have NEVER been more angry at a game developer, if I could bash the brains in, of the guy who thought up the rings, and the timing of it. I seriously would. And I would get GREAT enjoyment out of it.. And I thought the first part was bad. Then the moving rings happen.. It is the most trash mechanic I have EVER played.. If I was playing on Paladin difficulty, then I would understand the timing.. But on regular difficulty, it is AWFUL..
I am on this boss right now, glad to know there are still people playing this game. I’ve had mixed feelings about this game ever since I started playing it. It’s kinda just a mess, and I hate to say it. Some parts are good and some parts just make you vomit and sadly there is no in between. :(
It's more luck-based honestly, coming from someone who has 110%-ed the game including Paladin + DLC. If 2 rings overlap as you walk by, you are doomed to get hit, screwing you out of health and trial for the fight. But sometimes they move rather evenly. I beat them at the second attempt when no overlaps happened.

Satan, since he was most likely the commander of all angelical forces and held the first place in the angelic hierarchy, second only to God. (This is not according to all sources, but most of the ones of significant magnitude). So he is the being that has the most right to call God Father, and in more literal of a sense than people for example, since each one has 3 "fathers" in a religious sense, the direct genetic one, the first human Adam and God as in The Father of the Trinity. While Satan only has 1 true Father, created directly by God as opposed to indirectly as with any ordinary mortal person.

Gabriel didn't fight that fight.. He was posses by an arc angel or so..after the battle he thought he was dead..it makes sense
