  • This is the new GMC Sierra 1500 truck. GMC restyled their Sierra 1500 truck starting in 2014. The 2014 GMC Sierra and 2015 GMC Sierra looks pretty mush identical. There may be subtle differences between the 2014 GMC Sierra 1500 and 2015 GMC Sierra 1500 but I'm not sure what those differences are. This is the 2014 GMC Sierra 1500 SLE. There are GMC Sierra 1500 SLT and GMC Sierra 1500 Denali trims available too. The 2014 GMC Sierra 1500 SLE was the best deal in my opinion because it was the previous year's model, looked basically identical and drove the same. This truck is loaded with features! The new GMC IntelliLink interface is nice! It makes pairing a cell phone with the trip simple. The touchscreen is nice and hopefully they'll make additional apps available for it in the future too. What has impressed me the most about the 2014 GMC Sierra 1500 is the comfortable, quiet ride and fuel economy for a V8. The LED lights in the truck bed are great! There are TONS of power jacks and USB ports throughout the vehicle. GMC has really stepped up their game to compete with Ford Microsoft Synch. For great towing capacity, comfortable ride and an abundance of feature, the GMC Sierra 1500 is hard to beat! I wish GM would get it together. I want a 6.2 in my next truck but it's not available unless you buy the higher trim lines. I'm sure there are more people out there who want the big power in a base model truck. It's hard to justify a $60,000+ truck that'll be worn out and replaced in 4 years.

    I have the same truck however single cab base model and I cannot figure out how to see my vehicle information on the dash odometer. I want to be able to see my air pressure and what not any idea how I can view that?

    Nice looking truck and the locking tailgate is a nice touch. Would be thieves will have to reach up and over to steal your stuff. Also the little things like the LED bed lights and smooth open gate are cool features. Congratulations.

    i was wondering if it had the emergency light that is on a cord that the cord it long enough to go around to each side of the truck to provide light to change the tired at night my 1989 chevy had it and it came in pretty handy just wondering it took me awhile to find out it was even there its under the hood and was like a bubble light used to light engine compartment it was on the fender well its on like pull out light then had a hand crack to wind the cord back in i thought that was a nice feature just wondering if they did away with it or not so you might want to see if it was that. let me know if you can if it does you will love that.

      Michael Mcfarland Very cool. Nope, this one doesn't have that =( I guess I could always turn on the bed lights for a little extra light while changing a tire LOL

    Nice truck! Now that you've had it awhile how do you like it? Any problems with anything? Dig the white color too.

    • @IrixGuy
      @IrixGuy  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      No problems at all and I would buy again in white. I traded it in about a year ago and it held its value better than any vehicle that I have ever owned. I think that the basic color may have contributed to the strong trade-in value. They’re great trucks but I like my new car that can get around 40MPG.

    These are the most beautifully designed trucks since 1968 ,we bought our 2014 GMC SLT FULL CAB in February 2013 , she was bought brand new with only 17 miles .
    We now only have 30k on this beautiful 5.3 liter 4×4 SLT Cajon Red all original Sweetheart.
    Plenty of backseat memories LOL 😆😂😅🤣🥰
    WE LOVE Our 2014 GMG .1🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
    PS, I'm hearing rumors about the transmissions after 120k about slipping and acting up ?
    Do I need address?

    • @IrixGuy
      @IrixGuy  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, it was a great truck. GMC is expensive but with price haggling and leveraging their annual incentives, deals can be had. Trade-in value is super strong for GMC! I traded this truck in a few years ago.

    Looking into purchasing this truck. The dealer is asking for $22,500. Inside and out in excellent condition and has 105,200 miles on it. Is it worth the price asked?

    I just bought a left over summit white 2014 sierra SLE crew cab Z71 and mine has duel climate control. power seats, a 110 house style power outlet, fog lamps, and on the left side of the dash where the head lights are, is also a similar knob for the 4x4. So my point is there is a big difference in the "same model" truck and shouldn't be unless you order it different. Also being a 2014 left over I got a $9,300 rebate so the sticker was $45,995 and a 2009 sierra I got $17,000 for it came to $19,695. Not to shaby! But why they so different? Wonder what else that i didn't see is different?

    • @IrixGuy
      @IrixGuy  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      bcrusher1979 Great points! I know what you're talking about. Mine does not have the 110 house style plug(wish I had that) nor the 4x4. It does have the "Z71 kit' though. I like the truck but I agree equipment should be more uniform. I think that I may have more leg room in the front middle seat though, since I don't have the piece where 110 plug is.

    • @IrixGuy
      @IrixGuy  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Zero problems! I only sold because I sold a boat, gas was too expensive and I was able to secure amazing trade-in value at the time. I drive an Audi bow that sips fuel but would buy a GMC again (if they weren’t so expensive) without hesitation.

    I liked your comparison between the SLE and SLT trim levels. I'm thinking about trading in my 2006 SLE sierra and I'd like to own at least one truck in my life with leather seats but I'm just not sure if it's worth the extra cost. Part of me says why start now.

    • @IrixGuy
      @IrixGuy  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      mictdave1 Thank you! IT'S NOT WORTH IT. My personal opinion is that leather and a rugged vehicle shouldn't mix.....even if money was no issue and the owner didn't sweat scratching and/or getting the weather wet. Cloth interior is more practical and easier to clean and maintain in my opinion. With that said, I do want leather is my sports cars but I don't want leather in my truck =) That's just my personal opinion.

    • @davidstokes9706
      @davidstokes9706 ปีที่แล้ว

      Leather IS NOT the only difference between the SLE & SLT. Each trim level has more features "Standard" and/or available to it. It's not just a leather upgrade and a "name badge" increase.

    what kind of mpg you getting? thinking about trading my 2010 for one.

    • @IrixGuy
      @IrixGuy  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      hfjj sdgff Honestly I don't watch the MPG BUT it does get better MPG that my previous Chevy Silverado Work Truck with a V6. I think it's usually 13MPG or so around town but highway is quite good. I noticed that the engine switches from "V8" to "V4" on the display. I'm assuming that is how it consumes less fuel while on highway etc. I've loved this truck so far. Zero complaints!

  • @bcrusher1979
    @bcrusher1979 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I forgot to add that my SLE also has a rear back up monitor and sensors that comes up on the dash not the rear view. I would be pissed off if I where you, unless your sticker was a lot less. They should make all the options the same in each trim package. Unless you custom order it to what you want.

    • @IrixGuy
      @IrixGuy  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      bcrusher1979 Yeah, my backup camera is only visible in the center console. Unfortunately custom ordering the previous years model is hard to do and that's where the big rebates are. I was happy with the deal that I got for the truck and zero complaints so far. It's decent highway gas mileage too! Have you had any problems yet?

    • @bcrusher1979
      @bcrusher1979 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      IrixGuy's Adventure Channel Nope, no problems yet. Only got 1000 miles on it tho. I just hate how they leave stuff out like my last SLE i bought I got a sweet rebate but it didn't come with fog lamps. Instead it had the bumper for fog lamps with big holes that were capped off were they were supposed to go. That just looks incomplete to me. They could have made a bumper without the holes so it don't look incomplete.

    • @IrixGuy
      @IrixGuy  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      bcrusher1979 Funny you say that. The front tag bracket place mine didn't have that piece. Long story short, I wanted to attach a from tag to the GMC Sierra. We searched the entire lot and even called GMC and apparently there is no front tag bracket available for the 2014 GMC Sierra. I was able to get them to insert a plastic piece where the tag goes to make the front bumper look complete. Check with your dealership. Those little cosmetic pieces are likely sitting around.

      I only buy Z71s and it shocks me how most people review them have no clue what makes it a z71. Stickers says a guy... poor fella doesn't know his ass from a damned hole in the ground, probably a biden voter!
