An early morning visit to Ham Wall brought very close views of Great Crested Grebes and good views of a Great white egret, Garden Warbler and Four-spotted Chasers.
Thanks mate, I saw it near the car park just as I was leaving, started recording but as time went on a Reed Warbler song was drowning it out. I looked ahead and 10' in front of me was the Reed Warbler, in the open! but Sod's Law once I moved the camera off the Garden Warbler the Reed Warbler dived for cover, went on calling but I couldn't see it. A shame as that's one bird that's eluded me this year!
Hello! What lovely video from the grebes and the reflection in the water, to the chasers and that absolutely irresistible adorable wren taking a sand bath ! I have never seen that ! That was really cute ! Thank you again and best of everything in birds and health.
Thank you Patricia, the Wren was actually sand bathing for about five minutes, not including the short interruption when dog walkers walked past! Watched your latest video this morning, excellent, will post comments on your page. Best wishes for your summer birding.

Thank you so much! As you can see the Chasers were everywhere, no wonder Ham Wall gets a fair number of Hobbys although I didn’t see any on my short visit.
Amazing numbers of chasers. There were ridiculous numbers of brown hawkers there on a visit I made a couple of Julys ago. Not surprising that hobbies hang around!

That’s exactly what I thought Tim, was hoping for Hobbies but it was a curtailed visit as was in the area for a weekend with famiky.
