Close views of a Green Sandpiper and Egyptian Goose, more distant views of a Great White and Little Egret together, and a very exotic White-Spotted Bluethroat.
Hello John! What great birdwatching ! I love to see egrets catching fish. In my opinion the little egret is the most skillful because of its footwork. And that Egyptian goose should be in Africa! Loved the goslings and the barnacle geese . And of course that bluethroat is so amazing ! Beautiful, unfoundable except in Scandinavia and singing ! What lovely blue shining in the sun! ☀️ ! Thank you for this great moment ! And you had sunshine too! I wish you good weather and great luck. The young moorhen also was nice!🤗🤗👋👋🍀🍀‼️
Thank you Patricia! It was a lovely sunny day although a little windier than predicted. I was very lucky to see the Bluethroat, although it’s been returning to the same spot for the last three years it can be quite elusive! A bird native to Scandinavia and one from Africa both seen within 30 minutes and half a mile of each other was quite something! I’m in Pembrokeshire at the moment, the weather is improving and I’m optimistic I might see something worth recording. Best of luck to you too. 😊👍
Thanks Mick! The Bluethroat wasn't found by me but it has returned for 4 years to the same patch. Wish it could find a mate but as you know it's very unlikely on Severnside!
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it! I wish I had found the Bluethroat myself but it’s been there on and of for the last three years, always singing but sadly no female has been around to respond! 😊
Hi Tim. It wasn’t that long, about 25 minutes, but after seeing it it didn’t pop up again. Seems to like sunny conditions. A couple of days after I recorded this somebody reported it showing every twenty minutes or so.
Bluethroat, and it was singing! Thanks for sharing.
Thank you!😊👍

Stunning shots of the Bluethroat John, Bravo..
Thanks Jon, was hoping it would display again but just had this brief glimpse.
Talk about lucky to get the Bluethroat filmed right out in the open! Nice one.
Thanks a lot! Yes chuffed to get the Bluethroat!
Fabulous video, and that Blue Throat wow. I am so jealous of your find. What a beauty, and it was calling too

@@johnluk Hope it finds a mate sooner than later
Apparently it’s showing well at the moment but can’t imagine it keeping it up until mid-July.
How long did you have to wait for the bluethroat to show?
I’ve been out off by horror stories of 4 hour waits etc

@@johnluk interesting. Wouldn’t be able to go until weekend after next though.
Near the end of the video, was that the sight of the sea and some sea cliffs and foliage?
Hi! No that’s Westbury Garden Cliffs on the bank of the River Severn.
@@johnluk Would you expect this place to be a nesting site for gulls?
