I had a flyer that I got a few years ago about the and I never happened to take it. I usually take the F local. Nice you rode the express. Someday I’ll ride it
PATH has a new OMNY-like feature called TAPP (or as I call it the OMNJ) I believe. It's fairly new, and I'm not exactly sure if it's in service yet, but it might be active at Journal Square and 33rd Street. You should try and test your luck! I don't know how to use them, like what specific card. But maybe you can figure it out!
Yeah I already know because it's a ridiculous situation. It's the same reader, so there is no functional difference if you pay with your phone or credit card. But OMNY cards are not (currently) compatible because PANYNJ and MTA just can't seem to play nice together. That could change... there just needs to be the will to change it.
I experience shenanigans yesterday with the B going express in the Bronx from 145 to Tremont making stops at Tremont ave, Fordham Rd, Kingsbridge rd then Bedford Park Blvd. Well it worked for me. Saved time yesterday (Not really since that B was pulling into tremont slow. The D train doesn’t when it goes into tremont ave on the express track and it makes the horn noise every single time it gets into the station. The B didn’t do that. Because of that, I miss my bx40 and had to wait for the bx42)
I thought this was a trailer. Not a stand alone. Also, the +SelectBusService buses should count as they’re technically subway routes on wheels & Asphalt.
You see - I suggested the under the assumption that they actually exist...... Anyways, this was a fun video - always interesting to see a behind the scenes of what goes into a "train with its brakes activated" delay!
Either way I kinda experienced shenanigans also with the MTA it could of possibly been of safety precations but I dont think so Anywans so me my dad and my brother were heading to school during the early morning rush. The got of a Sutphin Blvd stop on the J and went to the E to Forest Hills so we go and the train arrives but it goes out of service and aparrently there was a fire ahead of the train but I dont think so because the train ended up moving the way it was supposed to go and we were stuck there for like 30 minutes and when the train arrived it was SOOO CROWEDED that the conducter at every stop had to tell us to move away from the door and we stayed there for like 10 minutes each. So yeah that was shenanigans in Queens
By the way GoGo Supertoe, there was shenanigans this evening for me. I was waiting for the (D) train at Atlantic-Barclays and the (F) pulls up on the express track via the (D) line. I was gonna jump on but I was like let me wait for the D train
OMG it’s so frustrating when a train that isn’t supposed to be there pops up! Like where the heck is this thing going? Should I find out? Nah lemme get where i need to go I guess.
@@SuprToeI was coming home from a meeting and once I got to the D/N/R platform, the departure board said (D) Stillwell Ave 1 minute and as it said 0 minutes, the (F) pulls in and get this, there was a sign below it when I got to the platform saying (D) Kings Hwy, guessing the (N) line. Finally a (D) train pulls behind the (F) at Atlantic-Barclays. I took a short video of this
Go go super toe are you gonna make another video of you heading to broken next week Because you're trained got delayed it was like by c train I'm sorry to hear that Hoping to look forward of your next Brooklyn videos
Do they still have the 7 day unlimited metro cards? I'm planning a trip up there next month for a full 7 day week and plan using the trains and buses a lot.
@SuprToe thanks for the quick response. I will definitely keep an eye out for them, especially since I'll be flying into Laguardia airport. It's been quite some time since I've been up there and purchased a metro card from the airport. Hopefully, they still have them there.

I have a Suggestion, Start At Jackson Heights Roosevelt Avenue take the (E) train to West 4 Street Then Take the (M) to Essex Street Then Take the (J) train to Jamaica Center Then Take the (E) train Again to Jackson Heights Roosevelt Avenue And the You got your self a whole Loop! Pretty Good Idea RIght?
@@SuprToe possibly, it triggers the emergency brake, possibility that tge driver couldn't get it released, hence why they might even been on tge track, possible brake release valve between the carriages?
SPAD = Signal Passed At Danger, commonly used on many railways. It's not common on subways. There are instances where the train's brake mechanism was activated after hitting something on the tracks, or it hit the trip arm on a signal.
It could have got debris on the tracks which would have activated the emergency brakes. If someone pulls the emergency brake on newer trains, the emergency brakes won’t apply until the doors open at the next station (unless the train travels less than 600 feet after leaving the station)
It was truly amazing meeting you today! 😁
You too!!

@@SuprToe Interesting! PANYNJ and the MTA should really cooperate. It would make a lot of things easier. Well anyways, I enjoy your content!

What an interesting video!, Seeing every single train in Brooklyn is a nice thing.

Nice one Suprtoe! Shennanigans got you
When you were checking bergen lower level I thought you were slowing down the video lol
I was really happy the operator slowed down so much so we could get a good look!
Great video! Maybe next time, there will be no delay and continue the process! Keep up your great content!

Currently yes they still sell the 7 day metro cards at the metro card vending machines.

You haven't done all Brooklyn Trains yet right?
Do they call it a SPAD like in UK trains?
I've never heard it called that, but I can't seem to find what the MTA does call it. So it could be SPAD that ruined my day?
