Thank you John and George for working on my hatch. Im very happy with all the work you guys have done. It couldnt have been done without you guys. After years and years of looking at this car sitting in the garage with no engine not running you guys made my dreams come true. Im very grateful for everything you did. Your quality of work is unmatched. LHT Performance is the best shop around. They truly care and will treat your car like its one of their own. Awesome video and thanks again LHT Performance!
EG is sexy, but Im an EK guy.... That was the hatch I had when I was in the lime light :) I had an EF too, But the EK was the cleanest and fastest. We used to go to Moroso with John from LHT.
Love my Helms manual! I got the same 94 FSM not long after I got my GSR in 2001. It’s been well used and has saved me countless thousands of dollars over the past 23 years.
I have a '92 Celica and when it's compared to EG Civics, the Celica doesn't have a robust parts support that Civics do. I wouldn't be able to source parts like a new fuel pump assembly and fuel tank, but it's not an issue with Civics. These Civics will outlast Toyotas of the same year of manufacture because of parts support.
John is a OG legend in the Honda game. One of the only shops to have Ac and power steering in b swaps. Been doing it right and not cutting corners for 28 years. 🫡
This hatch reminds me of the first car I ever bought brand new from Hendrick Honda in Hickory NC - a red 94 EX Coupe VTEC for 18 grand...what a looker and runner it was.... This was a great era of Honda cars.
This hits home. I have a EF hatch with a B16 I used to autox 20 years ago, haven’t started it in 15 years. I’m sure the timing belt would snap. First gen b16 that is 35 years old! Plan on K-swapping it with my son. Might keep the b16 for a year or two and drive it for nostalgia purposes. Decisions…..
What an awesome build & as always the LHT Team is killing it with the exceptional job! This thing came out so clean👍👍 You guys did an amazing job. Keep up the great content!
Another Bseries BANGER! i love how many Bswaps have been done this last year on the channel! I cant wait to see yall at CHD again this year after i refresh my 97 JDM B18C in my 97 EJ8 EX Coupe! If yall see any EF Si shells around or get offered up keep me in mind please! I want another one and slap my swap in it!
Your nemesis safety glasses are the best. I use the clear for low light areas, mirrored indoor/outdoor most the time. And the dark shades here and there. Best ones out there.
@@LHTPerformance Yeah, I remember running to Moroso with you and the crew.. Times are so much different now huh? I think you had a teal EG at the time.
Ahh perfectly done Si. A detail I like that you've thrown in is regarding the cleaning aspect of the aluminum block and head. I've seen so many times people attack them with wire wheels on a drill. That's fine if you like that look but for the OEM finish I just give it a light wire brushing(like you did), some aluminum cleaner and its set. I don't mind them painted but that's a totally different look, what do you guys think of painted blocks and transmissions? Great Job crew!
1995 Civic Si, it literally weighs nothing. 180hp from the B18c plus whatever power the mods give it, is going to be a pretty quick car. Plus you don't see 1995 Civic anything is that fine of condition as well.
I had a turbo D15B VTEC and it was ALOT of fun with a 50 trim eBay turbo. I built that thing on a budget, but I also installed supporting mods like ARP head studs, Gates Racing timing belt, new tensioner, Gates water pump, Cometic head gasket, a rewired Walbro 255 LPH fuel pump, DSM 440cc injectors (that I had leftover from my multiple DSM and 4g63t Colt builds), and my buddy tuned it on Crome Gold (for 14 hours on the street) on the P28 ECU that I socketed and chipped with a Xenocron kit. I swapped it into my mint 1997 EJ8 Civic coupe with a JDM Del Sol Si trans with LSD (according to the trans code and no I don't remember what it was) and even on 10-12 psi it would destroy most cars on the street. I ended up going with a B18B1 and adapted the turbo kit to it and I ended up making 412 whp at 18 psi with a fully built head (BC Stage 3 Turbo Cams, dual valve springs with titanium retainers, and a fully ported and polished head with titanium oversized valves) and stock internals with new Nippon rings and ACL Race bearings and a GSR trans with an upgraded OBX LSD. It also had a Skunk2 Street intake manifold and a S2 70mm throttle body. I loved that setup. It was SO much fun and so responsive. I had maybe $1500 in the car itself and another $2500 in the engine, trans, and turbo kit. I could downshift and SMOKE full bolt on SRT4s, Cobb Mazdaspeed 3s, and almost all WRXs that I ever came across from a roll. I miss my turbo Hondas. I drice a BMW now and it doesn't have a turbocharger, but I still have my rebuilt dual ball bearing turbo from my J32A swapped Accord...and about 4 others...
Love these videos man! Every now and then I Google LHT turbo 400kit and go look at photos on Tampa racing that y’all used to have. Is there a link on the site like back in the day where we can see those old LHT setups? They are so inspiring!
If you go to Tampa racing .com , go to the shop forums and click on our name. We have a bunch of photos in there. I appreciate you following us and enjoying the content
I had a friend that used to have great luck with boosting these little sohc motors. He said they were cheaper to replace than building a B motor. He had a yard full of them back in the day.

I’m curious, was any tuning required to use that manifold? I always read that you can’t just bolt that onto a gsr because of the vtec engagement point and fueling when the oem intake runners open. I’m asking because I want one for my Integra lol.

Thanks so much for your kind words. We’re so glad you chose LHT to bring it back to life. It’s a great car and we’d be happy to help with stage 2
When I grow up, I want John and George to work on one of my projects.
Maybe I can coax them to do a titanium exhaust for my Fiat 500 :-).
wow lucky you
Sir can I have your motor please.
Super cool Si from back in the day. God I miss the 90’s

Get it running with the b16 itll be a cheap getting running fix versus deciding today to go kswap and making the car sit for another year
Still doing great work and putting out great videos. Keep em coming
That hatch looks and sounds awesome 💯👍👍👍
Started the Honda life in 95’. Still going strong to this day like you. Agree , those stanceboy rims hurt the overalll beauty of that Si Hatch.

As a former Honda parts hoarder, sometimes I think Honda parts makes more money than the service side.

Thanks so much 🙏
That si is so beautiful, and I like that injector check tool too 😂
Super clean! Fine job gentlemen!!

@@LHTPerformance Yeah, I remember running to Moroso with you and the crew.. Times are so much different now huh? I think you had a teal EG at the time.
Really missed seeing how easy is to work on the old B series engines. Had a similar setup B16/B20z2 block S4C transmission. Good old days.
Love these old school restorations!!
I swear this is magic if I ever saw it 🤤

Nice. 👍🏻. GSR belongs in these.
I always wanted one but never knew where to start. So lucky

2300lbs with 180hp is going to run low 14s in the 1/4mi. Fun
Very nice! Hopefully he gets rid of those wheels!

I'll be in the market for another turbo soon, I like to buy used if I can. Wanna sell one?

Wish i could have you guys build me a car! Always great work .
I dunno which is healthier looking, George or the EG. Nice work!
Love this. Makes me want another Honda project. Need you guys to build something for me 👍🏼👌🏼
Miss my old ef with gsr and eg with 98 type r from hmotors way before k series came out. Fun toys..

I have an EK sedan, my car has been sitting for 5 years. It never ran right, and I kept going from shop to shop
Ok, last comment. Best body style for a hatchback. CRX comes in a very close second.
When I heard that surging, on initial start up, I thought classic air idle control valve.
What's that machine you put the fuel injector in to clean them. Are they expensive? Thanks ! I love that civic yow. It looks so damn great..
14 years? Has it been that long since the Diamond steelies trend?
Yup and sticker bomb fenders
Love the sound of an old gsr… I wanna see someone do a built b17 out a 92 gsr

Can you please show how to change the oil and belt on the B series JRSC
I have one on my car and I really need to do it. There’s no videos or information online
I did show the belt procedure on the Bert Hatch build video. You need to remove the blower to change the oil. I will make a video next time we do one.
Great job 👍👍
I feel like he doesn’t like lowered cars 😭 love the view
I like lowered cars. I also track my cars. A car that doesn’t have any useable suspension will not go around a track.
Where in Orlando did you guys buy the motor?
Would love to buy a clean hatch like this...got 12 grand...wisconsin?
Hit me up on IG. I know of a EG hatch already swapped

What is that black piece that's in the inside of your coolant funnel?
It’s a ramp that spins the coolant. It spins the fluid and allows the air escape speeding up the bleeding process
How do you get rid of the fuel smell? I bought a 2000 civic hatchback and you can smell it while driving and when starting it up.
Make sure the purge is connected and operational as well as the cat.
@LHTPerformance will do thanks again
