@@someonerandom8545Musical started as a passion project which he uploaded on tiktok which blew up and that's also where a lot of the fanbase originated from along with some of the voices in the musical because Jorge to find voices for his characters asked on tiktok for people to submit auditions Don't know about all of them but some of the animators on the project are TH-camrs who helped in the popularity of epic by making fan animatics of the musical using Jorge's songs and basically giving visuals to them or at least their interpretation of what's happening Finally guy on the left of the video is the creator himself Jorge eventually someone always uploads a version of the streamed sagas onto TH-cam with him cut out but if you find it watch it fast Jorge asks TH-camrs to not upload those parts because they don't give full credit to all the people who worked on it live stream is still up on his TH-cam channel though

As the artist for the dangerous snippet with the princess winion, Yes we do work with Jorge :D At first he will send us an overall description then he will send reference videos if he has any! and as we work he offer slight corrections to anything that needs to be altered to fit more closely to how he imagines the scene! Same process happens with characters design if we need to do those! He really is a joy to work with and his ideas always are so fun🙏🩵

Calypso absolutely held him there against his will, but her own situation makes me somewhat sympathetic. Imagine being stuck on an island for 100 years completely alone and unable to leave, its enough to drive anyone insane longing for human connection. What she did was still not right, but much more understandable.
I’m not sure if this is true for Jorge’s interpretation but in the actual story Calypso is banished on the island forever by Zeus, never being allowed to leave or escape (even in death where some stories say she tries to off herself). But what’s worst about her situation is that she’s cursed, she’s cursed into falling in love with whoever sets foot on the island. So in the actual story she never holds anybody against their will because she’s just as helpless as them, and the “love” she feels for them isn’t even really her love.

Full timeline Trojan War- 10 years - Beginning of Epic is last battle of the War - Troy to Circe Saga- a few days to a month Circe to Underworld- A few months to a year after trojan war Act 2 starts around 2 years after end of Act 1 and stays in this time until end of Thunder Saga. Wisdom Saga picks up from Telemachus POV 20 years after Odysseus left for the war. Ody got stuck with Calypso after being away for 13 years. He stayed with her for 7 years until beginning of Vengeance. The rest of this saga and next with be in fairly close proximity timeline wise. That completes the two decade Odyssey.
The trojan war was 10 years, and Odysseus was lost at sea for an additional 10 years, for a grand total of 20 years. He left home when his son was just a new born, and made penelope promise that if he didnt return by the time their son had a beard, she needed to crown a new king.
And yes, it's been 10 years since the start of the Troy Saga after the Trojan war ended. And to make it even worse, he was gone for ten years BEFORE that in the Trojan war so he's been gone for a total of 20 years; which is another reason the suitors of Ithaca are so restless - they've spent 20 years without a king. His son is in his 20s now, and he hasn't seen his son since shortly after he was born; it's assumed Telemachus is 20-21, so he was a couple months old to a year old at least when Ody left for the war. Then it took him another ten years AFTER the war to get home because of all this stuff with Poseidon, Circe, and Calypso; Calypso held him on Oggyia (her island) for 7 years and (if we go by the myth, but I don't think Jay did) he was with Circe for a year.

For Doylist reasons, they gave the wind bag to Ody because he needed it later on to win. For Watsonian reasons, I'm assuming it's just so none of the gods had to worry about babysitting it. If Ody has it, then if anything happens to the bag it probably means that Ody's dead or at the least it was his own damn fault and so no one needs to worry about the bag or the storm regardless. And yes, the artists do work with Jay! He gives them concept art of what the characters look like, and he gives them reference videos of roughly how he wants the animatics to look. He posts some of the reference videos he gives them in his shorts sometimes. A lot of them are just him acting out the parts himself, but sometimes he uses, like, action figures, clips of shows/movies, stuff like that.

Specifically, the "It's been 10 years, how long will this go?" is referring to how long it's been since Odysseus and his crew pissed off Poseidon by harming Polyphemus(the blinded cyclops). The Trojan war took 10 years, and Odysseus' journey back to Ithaca took 10 years. In total, Odysseus has been gone from Ithaca for 20 years.
When u were askin about where is this from, I’m pretty sure it’s the same tune when Polyphemus sang “you’ve hurt me enough” which if I’m right is epic in its own right since in ruthlessness, Poseidon quoted ody from remember me so this is potentially a call back in response???
Where you ask where the beat is from...It's Polyphemus' theme or a Different Beast (I can't tell which til I go back and check) slowed down to start and morphs into Monster....I just realized that. It goes along with Ody's red eyes.
The melody you hear before Ody says ‘you will get rid of that storm’ is from Different beast. That is Ody’s motif since he is now the danger. My favorite song is hard to choose though it’s between Dangerous and 600 Strike and there’s only one more saga left!
That beat you ask about when oddy says "you're going to release that storm" is from Different Beast. It's a callback to the first time he displays genuine ruthlessness against the sirens, ordering their tails (with the gills) cut off so they can be drowned just like their victims. That same cruelty comes out against poseidon in that moment. If I had to give a name to that specific beat it would be "Poetic Justice".

I think Charybdis is underrated. It has my favorite version of the Penelope motif and the ending before Poseidon shows up is so calm and hopeful. Not to mention the actual appearance of Charybdis and that whole section was a bop.
The feud between Poseidon and Odysseus was 10 years but he’s been away from home for about 20 years. So the journey and war before the cyclops saga took 10 years. Meaning Poseidon has been looking for Odysseus for 10 years which is why he says “it’s been 10 years”. 12:04
So for the animatics, Jorge does work with them, and gives the animators references to use whether they be from him, or other outside media such as AoT for the Cyclops Saga and various other forms of media

And yes, the artists do work with Jay! He gives them concept art of what the characters look like, and he gives them reference videos of roughly how he wants the animatics to look. He posts some of the reference videos he gives them in his shorts sometimes. A lot of them are just him acting out the parts himself, but sometimes he uses, like, action figures, clips of shows/movies, stuff like that.

Specifically, the "It's been 10 years, how long will this go?" is referring to how long it's been since Odysseus and his crew pissed off Poseidon by harming Polyphemus(the blinded cyclops). The Trojan war took 10 years, and Odysseus' journey back to Ithaca took 10 years. In total, Odysseus has been gone from Ithaca for 20 years.

The reason that Hermes gave Odysseus the bag was because if he hadn't trapped the storm in the bag then Poseidon's storm would have killed Odysseus.

Where you ask where the beat is from...It's Polyphemus' theme or a Different Beast (I can't tell which til I go back and check) slowed down to start and morphs into Monster....I just realized that. It goes along with Ody's red eyes.

The melody you hear before Ody says ‘you will get rid of that storm’ is from Different beast. That is Ody’s motif since he is now the danger. My favorite song is hard to choose though it’s between Dangerous and 600 Strike and there’s only one more saga left!
That beat you ask about when oddy says "you're going to release that storm" is from Different Beast. It's a callback to the first time he displays genuine ruthlessness against the sirens, ordering their tails (with the gills) cut off so they can be drowned just like their victims. That same cruelty comes out against poseidon in that moment. If I had to give a name to that specific beat it would be "Poetic Justice".

I think Charybdis is underrated. It has my favorite version of the Penelope motif and the ending before Poseidon shows up is so calm and hopeful. Not to mention the actual appearance of Charybdis and that whole section was a bop.

The timeline for what i think it is is this. For the first ten years, that was their journey to Troy and the Trojan War, then for a year, it is the rest of act one, the thunder saga takes place 2 years later then 7 years pass when ody is on calypso's island and the rest of act 2 is the 20th year.

For the animatics in the live streams, Jorge works with the artists to make visuals that are considered canon. Other animatics outside of the live stream ones are not considered canon and are just the artists' interpretations.
