What are your thoughts about international school market?

Hey great question. This is a two fold solution. As of now International schools in most of Vietnam that are dedicated English teachers are fine. There is no gossip about removal and being international level you really can't remove it.
I personally think only working in an International school for a short time and some talk with friends is it'll be okay for some time and probably one of the last to be affected.
If i was to think of a down fall, i would think many classes might start injecting English lessons into the different subjects to improve speaking and rely less on full exposed English classes. Meaning teachers will have more than just an English or language degree. (If this even happened)
Ether way until the requirement to speak English are removed from International schools, you and other teachers in this market are fine.
Chances of them removing English are just about 0, an International western school with no English makes no sense and speaking is required to be accepted in learning abroad for Vietnamese students.

Getting quite scammy, as VN in general is experiencing a rather big economic slump.

Vietnam has been in a slump for some time with this past Q3 and Q4 showing almost a 7% decline in the VND. (Sorry nerd talk) This is a two fold though as it pushes many of hte more rich Vietnamese to want international education. It's not common to leave a school simply becuase its expensive, its more about status. Meaning locals will rather sell things other's don't see (Things in their homes) rather than tell people they couodn't afford the VIP school status.
VN is def going to have an intersting next 3 to 5 years as their exports are being rejected due to the massive pollution concerns and China buying up a LOT of the farm and factory land and businesses
An intersting fact, Between Phan Thiet to Lagi (about 90 km) there are 8 MAIN farms for fruit that is considered the main export location for South VIetnam are all Chinese owned.
On top of that most of the farmers are not Vietnamese, these quick grab actions the gov did to make some fast cash are starting to come back in full circle.
Man im so off subject, but yeah, International teachers ideally are the safest right now.

Hey man i was wanting to go to Vietnam to teach after i got my TEFL but after doing some research it seems Vietnam is not the place to be.
I want to go but I'm unsure. Im from the UK and so my question to you is...
Should I still go to Vietnam or should I start looking elsewhere to teach English?
Bear in mind I've got some teaching experience but you might as well call me a novice.

It is getting a bit harder with the rules being in effect. Right now is the best time to come to build up a foundation so when next year's classes start you'll have a huge upper hand over new teachers coming out here.
