I have to admit, I am honestly impressed by the sheer level of dedication of people still modifying a game that's going on a quarter of a century old, creating not simply new levels, but whole new campaigns with new weapons.
Just goes to show the huge influence the game had and also the hardware capability of the N64 in delivering an outstanding FPS experience. One of the best no doubt.
Wow! That Sandor scene, while not perfectly recreated (some things just can't be with the game's engine), was pretty damn good. What a helpful chap indeed.
This is absolutely amazing. Always wanted a Roger Moore Bond game. Please keep it up. Side note: Possible solution for not having 'skis' as such in the opening level. Could you rig up a pair of skis kind of like the Tank, but faster, and without the cannon? So you could 'mount' them and immediately go faster? Just an idea.
I was thinking something along these lines, although stopping you from skiing back uphill might be a challenge to code. It would be cool if there's be a way to replicate the ski chase with mounted enemies but I think that might be a step too far, there's probably no way to animate them so it would probably look pretty janky. It would at least be achievable to do different ending cutscenes for Bond jumping off the cliff and skiing off the cliff - the original code does allow this, there are alternative endings in Goldeneye, for instance in the train station level where if Bond boards while the Janus guards are still alive there's an extra short cutscene segment where he shoots them.
I did imported a lot of the sound effects for this game and so far everyone feedback been pretty kind and constructive. Actually due to Goldeneye limited engine, i don't think it possible to add a ski segment like we seen iN TWINE 64 or something. We are trying our best to worked on these levels with competence and motivation, how ever your feedback is still really imported to us. I hope you all enjoy the footage or gameplay of this mod. I LOVE how the boss fight with Sandor was executed in this! The fight scene between Bond and Sandor in the movie was one of my favorite parts of the movie and the way it was recreated here was MASTERFULLY DONE!
I nearly cried with excitement when I was rolling through the intros, and then the missions started, wow. This has to be one of the most exciting mods I've ever seen on goldeneye 64. The first 3 levels especially blew me away, train seemed too short and not enough objectives, that's literally the only criticism I could make. The 2 secret levels couldn't be more exciting either, incredible to think the 1v1 with scaramanga will be in this game, one of my favourite 007 scenes. Great job to everyone involved!

Woah, very intrigued. I personally loved the Goldfinger mod so really looking forward to this. He wouldn't know what the heck this is, but Sir Roger Moore would have been grateful, it's his favorite Bond.
Absolutely insane the dedication and effort of the Goldeneye community to keep the legacy of that game going in different forms. Perfect movie to adapt into a game. As much as I love the 4K slick realistic graphics world of games we have today, I would absolutely LOVE if this type of Bond game came back into the mainstream. Go to the films and just make a N64 Goldeneye type game out of them and it would make a fortune.
This really makes you appreciate what the original team did back in 1996 or so... we know the tech inside and out today, but back then it was brand new and they had no idea how it would turn out, or even how to make a 3D shooter. They really were amazing visionaries to pull off the original almost 25 years ago

Crazy thing is that was one of the inspirations for this game. My idea was to lean twords moonraker. I even had a rough map idea for how one of the levels would look. Figured a mod of The Spy Who Loved Me was the next best thing. Moonraker is a rather slow moving moive and Nightfire did a similar story already. Pity the James Bond Franchise pretty much died after From Russia with Love. It's was a great ride while it lasted.
@@juliabrnssr You could just add some Moonraker levels at the end as a last batch of missions or unlockable extras - if maybe you find that TSWLM doesn't have the material for enough levels (and Moonraker is kind of unique, compared to the rest of the filmography).
@@arturocevallossoto5203 Agreed, it's quite a wild ride. Conceptually the game has already been complete, and with the help of other members of the project, all 18 Story levels are for TSWLM. Although it is important to note that The space base is a multiplayer level.

I'm curious as to why the PPK has changed in these fan mods as it's the same weapon as GoldenEye.
It’s most likely because the model for the PP7 is altered to look less like the PPK, while the newer model looks closer to the genuine article.
