Sooooo awesome seeing black female physicians 😍
It’s literally so amazing and inspiring yes!!
I need her 🤩
This video is a Blessing!🙌🏾🤗
She inspires me so much💗
@@hannahbanana2311 its also inspiring to see white doctors to
@@aaronveytsman732 agreed! i never said it wasn’t LMAO. but white physicians are already dominating the field. so we LOVE to see minority physicians too!
Damn her skin is glowing 😍 she really just took “practice what you preach” to a whole new level 🤩
IKR. She is radiant.
@@mashamitchell9574 I guess she’s actually practicing what she’s practicing now that I think about it 🤣
Talk about it
A dermatologist is a doctor who specializes in conditions involving the skin, hair, and nails. A dermatologist can identify and treat more than 3,000 conditions. These conditions include eczema, psoriasis, and skin cancer, among many others. The skin is an incredible organ👍
lmao you just copied and pasted that
@@arxana5052 😂yeah they did
Might as well have posted how it's the largest human organ for full copy and paste efficiency.
I’m obsessed with her. She’s so brilliant and I love seeing black people in the medical field. Representation matters!
Dermatology is one field I've been considering and I'm so glad to see physicians sharing their stories and thier day to day lives. I'm trying to stay open to all specialties but this definitely helps solidify my interest in dermatology. Awesome work-life balance, numerous procedures, and great patient outcomes, sign me up.
why? for the money? I dont respect people that go into derm or plastics!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
**just money hungry shallow people**
@@coolminefactory123 Heal.
@@coolminefactory123 Hey, I find the field very interesting. I'd be lying if I said money wasn't a factor. You'd put in so much time, effort, and money when you enter a healthcare career, it's fair to consider salary. With that said though, it's definitely not a major influence in choosing a specialty for me.
@@coolminefactory123 I’m a neurosurgeon in residency right now and people in derm do it for the short hours not the money, neurosurgeons and orthopedic surgeons do it for the money
@@coolminefactory123 the doctors spend at least 12 years to become a specialist, don’t be this disrespectful
I am going to school to become a dermatologist right now actually
Are you in medical school?
Good luck
@@kyiopia4930 yeah derm is extremely competitive!
congrats and good luck buddy
@@frostydinosaur8187 wdym competitive ?? like its hard ?
I wish all doctors were as soft spoken and kind like Dr Robinson.
Her presence is so calming!
Agree!!
Love to see this representation in dermatology. Love my field! Awesome watch!
How can I find a dermatologist in nj
I’m a medical assistant for a dermatology office, the dr i work with sees about 60 pt a day and he does about 20 mohs surgeries that’s not including additional sites. Becoming a dermatologist is really a stress free field from my view and its awesome. I love it working with skin, especially mohs surgery. I’ll be going my pregrade soon and start my path to become a dermatologist. Great video!!
Mohs surgeons make 700k+, very comfy lifestyle
Thank you for sharing!! I’m a nontrad premed & was thinking about becoming an Medical assistant to get exposure to dermatology or cardiology (two fields that interest me). How did you become an MA? some people are telling me to just scribe but I feel MA learn even more by being hands on
@@thenightdances21 You have to take a medical assistant course at a school in your area, rn because of covid many schools are offering classes online. Also, there still might be an in person clinical training though. After the class you might have to do an 140 hour externship where you shadow/train as an MA in a doctors office or hospital. Then you have to take an exam & pass to become a certified MA. there are other routes, I’ve heard of people who aren’t certified and just get trained by a healthcare facility but that’s rare as most places want certified MAs.
@@GlamGoddes101 thank you so much for this!! I’m going to check the schools in my area! Also, do most schools prepare student for the certification exam? Or do we have to buy prep books to prepare? I seriously appreciate you for the information!
@@thenightdances21 The schools give you the material/books you need to learn & I think some of them do help with the certification exam
I live the way he puts black doctors on his channel B1
I really don’t see a lot of videos like this. I love the representation you’re bringing forward to your platform. I’m currently in college and would love to work in the field of dermatology one day. Sometimes I feel a bit discouraged, I don’t see a lot of black, or minority women in this field on many platforms, but seeing videos like this is really helpful and motivating!!
I can tell she is a dermatologist because her skin is gorgeous. It has such a lovely glow.
She’s gorgeous
Great to see another fellow black woman physician. 💃🏾💃🏾💃🏾
Love seeing doctors that look like me 💕
I want to be a dermatologist so bad because I want to make people confident in their own skin
No pun intended
i think i finally found what career path i want to take. i’m a freshman in highschool and i love learning science and about the human body. i’ve always wanted to work in the medical field but i never knew which exact specialty i wanted to work towards. but now i think dermatology is fit for me. my academics have always been good and hopefully i can keep up these good habits throughout the 12 years of preparing. wish me luck❤️
All the best to you!! ❤️ Hang in there :) , you'll make it one day.

Such an informative video! My 6 year old asked to see what dermatologists do and this was perfect. I love how she talks about her deliberate choice to go into a field that allows her a family life. For people deciding on careers that’s a great bit of info. What a lovely woman and she seems like such a good doctor, like it would be very calming to have her treat you.

Im leaning towards pediatric and adolescent gynecology or dermatology!

She has such a soothing voice.
Great video. Very informative. She seems super nice. Good job.

Great video! So nice to see a no nonense youtube video that is made for those who are serious about pursuing a career in health care. I do not plan on being a dermatologist, but I am almost done with my Medical Assisting program and plan to work in dermatological medical assisting. Hopefully I will be applying to nursing school thereafter and would like to continue on working in dermatology. It is clearly such a rewarding field to work in. I'm just happy I'll soon be part of the team. :)
Any update ?
Thank you this video encouraged me to want to study for dermatology!

Med school has been such a challenge for me. I used to want to do Derm but my grades just don’t make the cut.
Don’t give up. Seek out a mentor who can give you some guidance
Don’t give up
You can become a medical esthetician or a medical assistant and work in a dermatology
Greetings from South Africa.
Im booking her ASAP!
Hey Dr. Webb could we get a medical specialities tier list based on your time in different medical blocks and your experiences?
I look forward to the day I am a dermatologist 🙏❤️
im 19, and my GPA is. 2.7. But im determined to raise it in community college then transfer, im so nervous. I do know that if I put my mind to something I do it though, praying that happens with this
Hi annaa I’m on the same route of community college and I will be transferring after my sophomore yr. I too want to be a dermatologist and I get discouraged sometimes but don’t be discouraged about what you want to do keep going it’s all going to work out for you !
Hi Dr. Robinson, could you please review the Kenzzi IPL epilation device. I am concern about the safety use of the product. Thank you!
