The GOLD anniversary (50th year) for Bulova's history making apollo 15 mission. What a interesting part of history when the NASA issued Speedmaster failed on a crucial mission timing o2 levels the back up Bulova chronograph picked up the fumble and ran with it. This 50th anniversary limited edition has 5000 units! A big number but it is a special one. Has tons of presence and history! A winning combo in my book! Check it out.

I hesitated to buy one of these for the longest time due to the comments about it being too large. I just purchased the black version and love it. Fits perfectly on my 7.25 inch wrist.
Im a sucker for the flat pushers.
I just got this watch and boy do I feel special. I'm just sitting here with a cup of tea admiring the damn thing lol I'm even obsessed with the coin and the box 😅 there's a little surprise underneath the lid of the box when you open it but I'll leave that between me and other owners. I'm so happy 😅😁
That is what it is all about! Grats!
I'm thinking about buying this model, so I watched about 15 videos about it. Yours is probably one of the best videos on this watch, nice camera work, editing, and information. I couldn't find the weight of this titanium version in the specs anywhere on the web, or in other videos - Until you weighed it on your video! Bravo.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Awesome watch. I just picked this limited 50th edition up new for $825 CAD. Almost $500 off list here in Canada (List $1,295). Im just glad at least theres something just like the Omega 50th that is clearly out of most our price ranges. Im a watch and Nasa/space exploration geek so this was an easy decision with the sale price.
Truly a nice watch. We often talk about the Speedy but this Bulova look real nice. Not too “over the top”, regardless of the gold accents.
Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
Just picked up the bracelet version for $350. I’ve got a 7 1/2” wrist and it looks and wears great but I love a big watch anyway. For me it’s a definite keeper. Love it.
Great pickup
How'd you get a $1k watch for $350 with a bracelet?!
@@joed3613 it’s not the 50th anniversary edition. The anniversary edition doesn’t have an option for a bracelet. It’s the 96B258 model on the steel bracelet. It retails for $600. Best I could find is about $450 and just happened to luck into an AD out of Canada advertising it for $350. I couldn’t resist for that price. You can find the one on a nato for that price but for some reason that bracelet is expensive. The only reason I was chasing the bracelet version is that the holes in the lugs are drilled differently and you can’t put an OEM bracelet on a watch that was the nato strap version. I now of the option for either.
@@kengerace I have all 4 previous releases, but I have to say, the bracelet one is the way to go. The bracelet and original two-strapper had the lug holes drilled in different locations, so you couldn't swap out the bracelet for straps easily. So that was a bummer, but the bracelet that is included is sublime.
En av de bättre presentationerna på y-tube, mycket bra, ❤️
I’m fortunate to have a lunar pilot and an 1861 and I’m afraid to say the 1861 is now my go to watch but this edition is a cracking looking thing,I’m tempted to trade in my lunar pilot for one but not at that price!
Great channel,I’ve just realised I commented on your Casio A100 video. My order for that is due next week.
it cannot be missing in a collection😉
I Own this watch ,love it!!!!
I got 2 of the black editions. The first one I got from Amazon for $360+ taxes and the second one I got it from Greentoe for $275. I’ve a 6 1/2” wrist. Bit big but the black kind of hides the size and it hides well under my coat.
Watch fits me perfect!! Actually the strap is too small... lol the band doesn’t pass through the second titanium belt loop I’m a 8inch wrist.
Almost twice the price of a ‘normal’ lunar pilot. Pity that Bulova did not foresee an alternative or reissue of the Valjoux 72 mechanical movement that was in the original one for this special 50th anniversary edition. That would make it even more exclusive compared to the other editions of the Lunar Pilot. Nice marketing move though and really very very beautiful watch.
I would buy that one, got the old lunar pilot nato-strap version. This makes no sense to get if you already got a lunar pilot. sad!
Wake me when it is 42mm 50mm lug to lug
How bout 40 and 48 lol
I heard a few people say 5 seconds a year!
Hi Omega Hater ™️ ! You never know what’s gonna show up on the channel. Love it 🙌🏻🙌🏻
You already know!
Please make it smaller Bulova
I have a 7.25 wrist, and it fits perfectly fine. Stop being scared to try a larger watch.
And stop asking for a smaller size… this movement is 40mm alone; you aren’t getting a smaller case. It physically can’t happen.
Stop being told something is too large for you, and go try the damn thing on. You’ll be surprised. Quit blindly following what people that have never owned one say online…
Great review and great watch. But is there a reason why the subdials are different from the original, i mean in terms of what they do. Thanks
It is simply because it is a new modern movement with different functions already in production. I assume they do not want to modify the movement to re-create the original sub dials functions for financial reasons.
I always love your intro’s with those amazing b-rolls and editing. Just a silly question, but can you make video’s as well with only the b-rolls and make it a bit longer then the intro…. Just for eye candy lol ☺️
I did it with shorts 59 seconds a couple times didn't take off
Watch law: The really cool watches are always too BIG.
2 of the thing I didn't like about the normal version was the 45mm and the lack of antirelection. From your video, the AR look MUCH better... still big tough..
Damn, I belong in the small wrist gang with a 6.3 inch, love the watch but sounds like it won’t fit well. It would sit right at the edge of my wrist lug to lug, maybe nato strap can hide it but can’t test it with the price being somewhat premium
very kool
oh yeaaa
Watch is tight
When will Bulova listen to their customers and make a smaller version of this watch!
The precisionist movement in this watch is 40mm by itself. You want a case on your watch, right?
It isn’t getting smaller.
Bulova Regular MOONWATCH th-cam.com/video/m1AMFP8i7QE/w-d-xo.html Movement info is from the non-limited lunar pilot with date. Now its called NP20? Not much info about it. Zero in the books that came with the watch. So take the movement info with a grain of salt. Bulove only cares if you know it as HIGH PERFORMANCE QUARTZ. That is all. -Falling
Sadly still to big. Ive owned the standart version of this, loved it but had to let it go since it doesnt wear well cause of its size. I have a 7,25inch wrist and would buy it instantly if they made it smaller, even though I also own the Omega Speedy Pro.
totally, thanks for sharing bro!
Every time I come across a Bulova that looks good, the dimensions are unattractive. Great video though.
Price should have been at least 1500.
I'm sad that they made the decision to simply take the lazy way out and simply provide cosmetic changes to the case instead of perhaps trying to put in an actual mechanical chronograph movement and case size to make it as close to the original as possible.
To me, this one simply says "bling", and I'm uninterested in a bling watch.
I own ALL previous versions of the watch. And I wear three of the four of them. The original "two strap" version I keep in it's case for exhibition. The Bracelet model gets regular wrist time. When I want a "Nato" look, I go for the Black PVD, version. And the polished Stainless sports my NASA velcro strap for when I decide to go NASA with the watch.
Had they gone back and tried to recreate the original either with an in house Miyota automatic or Swiss automatic movement, I would have paid over $1000.00 for it.
But I won't pay double for a functionally identical watch that has fake gold highlights and a titanium case as it's main selling points.
Brother, I'm with you here, I really am...but I think you're missing out! I, like you, have the other iterations and this one just steals the show! It is simply beautiful in person and is still special without a mechanical movement. It doesn't come off as "blingy" on wrist. I would hasten to speculate a price closer to $2000 once they go mechanical. I love 'em all for different reasons. Cheers!
Lovely watch, but absolutely enormous. Tried the normal version in store and frankly it's a hard pass because it looks ridiculous on my wrist.

YES!
50m water resistance sucks.
50m is ok, it isn't a diver.
No diving to be done on the moon...

$1k + for quartz, no thank you, :)
Not all quartz is equal. Do some research making a foolish comment
