In this video I am still fighting with the WS6 Trans Am. It doesn't want to run so I thought we would start with a new Maf or Mass Air Flow Sensor. I originally started with a Truck MAF and keep getting errors. I decided to try a new designed maf from delco. That didn't work so I swapped back to the LS6 Intake and Throttle Body. I will just use the Fast Intake on another Project down the road. I also swapped to a different injector called the Green Giants. This is what I think my problem is. It started but I think they are putting too much fuel in the cylinder. We will get a tuner to adjust to the correct info and go from there. I also need to purchase a new lid to fit the smaller maf and throttle body. Hit the comments and let me know what you think.....

The information and ideas shared prove how helpful the car community is. Thanks TWA MOTORSPORTS. Know for my input, a friends LS6 would start for about 5 seconds but not stay runnig it turned out the cam sensor was not fully seated.
I checked that with the intake off
I truly think it's the fuel pump at this moment ... or maybe the wiring of the fuel pump or the crank angle sensor ... I got a feeling it should be something simple

@@TWAMotorsports Travis I just seen your video of the trans am issue.. I can tell you are frustrated.. walk away from it for a few days and refocus... And look into LS tech about crank no start.. are you smelling fuel while you are turning it over?

Sorry, man. That's got to be frustrating as hell. The fact that it ran for longer than previous times, but then wouldn't start at all seems like it could be due to being flooded (e.g., those injectors are too big for the stock tune). If you let it sit for a while, does it repeat what we just saw?

Are you sure vats is disabled. I bought a pcm that was supposed to be deleted but wasnt and mine was doing the same thing.

@TWAMotorsports I don't. I had changed my head and cam along with upgrading the fuel pump and injection, among other things.

I'm still thinking it's in the tune related to the new MAF. Just because there's a conversion harness doesn't mean that you don't also need the tune adjusted. My car would not run with the ZO6/truck MAF sensor plugged in prior to getting retuned. All i did was swap back to the stock original MAF and it fired right up. The intake alone won't prevent you from starting the engine..if there's a vacuum leak it'll still run, it'll run poorly and probably idle way too high but it'll run. Also for what it's worth the new delphi aftermarket MAFs like what you bought are trash. I had one and the tuner could not make it work properly, he pulled a used GM 85mm MAF off his shelf off a C5 ZO6, plugged it in and it worked perfectly. Made a couple hits on the dyno comparing the stock MAF to the descreened ZO6 MAF and it picked up 14hp...so it's worth it on an N/A combo.
Problem is finding a GM Z06 maf is impossible now. All reman junk. My issue now is injector related due to size of them and no adjustments
My buddy had this issue with a new fuel pump. It was a wiring issue with the pump. The aftermarket pump changed the wire configuration. It was a Ford truck but....

The fuel pump power wire needs to go to the alternator not to the battery because the alternator provides 1 to 2 more volts than the battery. Read the instructions.
no it doesn't, racetronix gives you the battery lug if you decide to run it to the battery. Also it is better to run it to the battery so you don't get "dirty power" from the alternator. I've run it both ways.
