Hi BK, I've been researching for a paddle that gives feedback more like hitting off a string bed, so I got excited when you mentioned you like that longer dwell time similar to tennis racquets. What paddle would you suggest for someone looking for that feel? So far the Nexus Prostar seems like a good choice, and other paddles suggested to me includes Ronbus Pulsar FX, BnB Shogun, and the J2Ti. May I get some opinions and suggestions from you as well, please?
ProStar has amazing customer service! Please note that Logan, the owner of Prostar responds directly to emails and requests on orders and immediately responded and honored my request for a Prostar on the lighter end of the spectrum. The one he sent was light in terms of its static weight and not head heavy at all! Very maneuverable for an elongated with the titanium/polyester weave. I have played with a lot of paddles and I would be guessing, but swing weight of mine falls clearly under 120 bc it’s near my ideal for elongated probably no more than 117-118. Also worth noting, don’t know if it’s the special weave or the foam injected core or the combo of the two, but once you work it in, it’s rare to get so much linear predictable power like gen3ish combined with the touch and control bc that combo of special service and core once worked in has awesome dwell time. And the twist weight/sweet spot excellent for an elongated. It’s a special paddle!
So glad to see the ProStar, and Nexus in general, getting more attention! Well deserved. This one really is special.
Absolutely, fantastic company and paddle!!
6.9 twist weight is far from average especially for an elongated paddle. Now you know.
Great review! Very in depth and informative video! This paddle is in my opinion is one of the best at about $150 range.
Appreciate it, definitely a beast at $150!!

Is this also a "titanium" plastic vs real titanium

Agreed!
Great paddle for sure!! Their customer service has been outstanding, love to see smaller brands making a name for themselves with such innovation!
