    Myself and my wife are just back from a 33 day trip touring Europe! On the itinerary was Switzerland 🇨🇭 and Austria 🇦🇹! Switzerland was incredible and beautiful. The best part was taking the train from Switzerland to Austria 🇦🇹. The Swiss Alps are Breathtaking!! We were in Triol Seefeld Austria 🇦🇹! A magical place not too be missed! Your video has inspired me to book for last wk in Aug!! I’d love to rent a car & do a similar route. How expensive and difficult was finding parking? Esp in busier areas?

    • @vinesrealtygroup
      @vinesrealtygroup  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I think the ease and cost of parking varies some with the size of the city or town you’re in. From our experience, the smaller the town or city, the cheaper and easier parking is to find. That’s why we typically try to pick up a car after leaving the major city we fly into and drop it off on our way back in, which is what we did in Munich. And I’d say the cost was about on par with what you’d pay in the US. Hope you have a great time on your trip! ☺

The one you got lost on the first day arrived mittenwald and did the correct one the day after (starts from 7:20). I’m not sure whether it’s eibsee hike or something else. I like hiking and would love the do the same one that you did.

      Thanks for watching! I found that hike from this article:
      fullsuitcase.com/seebensee-drachensee-hike-austria/. I also just looked it up and I’m pretty sure on AllTrails it’s called “Coburger Hütte and Drachensee from Tiroler Haus”. However, I did the loop counter clockwise. Not sure which way is better. I hope you get to do it because it was one of the highlights of the trip for me!

    13:15 This "guy" was Orlando di Lasso (1532-1594), who lived and died in Munich and was the most famous composer of the Renaissance and the first superstar of music. So it's quite fitting to repurpose his monument for Michael Jackson's memory as well. I think he would agree with that.

I was thinking of flying to Hamburg then briving over to berlin then south to Nuremberg and then Munich and ending in berchsgaden and the obersalzberg. I'm hoping to be able to rent a vehicle that i can sleep in but I'm afraid that might be a hope to far. Of course the Idea is to avoid the cost of hotels. I would appreciate any advice. Thanks. There are also some ww2 related places in Austria I would like to see. I have unlimited time.

      That sounds like a great itinerary! I’m not 100% sure, but it sounds like from the little bit of looking I did that Germany has a lot of places you could park a sleeper van, and as long as you don’t unpack stuff outside of the van like you’re camping then you would probably be fine.

As far as lakes and hikes, we visited lakes Königssee, Eibsee (we hiked around this lake), and Seebensee (we hiked to this lake together and then Will kept going and did a longer loop back). In addition to those hikes, we also did the Partnachklamm Gorge Hike (more of a short walk really). Hope that helps!

      Thanks so much! We actually got an international permit because of a different trip we were taking where we'd need one, so I didn't even really research it too much. Hey Maria, thanks for watching our video! There is a lift you can use that takes about a mile off the hike and reduces the total amount of elevation, but there are still several miles of hiking to get there. Hey Rebecca, thanks for watching our video! Depending on the price, I think I probably would rent a car again. It's obviously an added expense, but we liked the flexibility it provided, knowing we could go anywhere at anytime. And though I've heard the trains and buses are fantastic in that region, part of me thinks some of the things we did (like the Seebensee hike) might've been more difficult to figure out without a car. If we were just visiting bigger cities (Munich, Salzburg, etc), I probably would've opted for trains. I'm sure you'd have a great experience either way though!
